stunning watch , but more of a conversation piece than a time piece.

A chronograph watch (with or without a pulsation scale) is a rather poor tool for taking a pulse. How many hands do you have?? If you're holding a watch and pushing chronograph buttons, you can't really be measuring the pulse beats. All you need to take a pulse is a plain, 3-hand watch--or a clock on the wall that's visible--with a sweep seconds hand. Count the number of pulse beats over any 20-second interval, and triple it. There's your beats-per-minute.

I always thought the same thing lol

Wrist on left wrist, left fingers to palpate the pulse, right hand to operate chrono. Obviously now it's not needed or easy, but in 1920s maybe moreso

@@kevinnowak5067 Hey, maybe you can figure out how to push chronograph buttons and take a pulse simultaneously. I'm sure it's possible--if it's a vigoruous pulse that you're trying to take. But what's the point? It's a lot simpler and more efficient to just count out the beats over 20 seconds without futzing with the watch. This pulsimeter is meant as a conversation piece and as a gift for a doctor--not for actual use in the field.
