You walked right past my old flat in Teddington where I lived as an Expat for 5 years. Can't tell you how many times I've trodden the same routes. A beautiful little piece of Earth, and I miss it every day.

I'm uplifted by seeing people of all ages walking. The difference between modern American cities and London and environs is that London offers interesting destinations and visual interest along the way. The Thames is itself interesting, of course.

Excellent video - one of your best! So glad I suggested Teddington now! Here are some things the viewers might not know: the video includes shots of the site of the old Thames TV Studios, by the bridge and River Thames in Teddington. The video passes near to The Anglers public house where many stars used to drink when working at the studios next door. There are plaques on the wall inside to pay tribute to some of the performers who worked at the studios, including Sidney James and Morecambe and Wise. The video passes by the nearby flats where Benny Hill lived for the last few years of his life and died. The flats next door were used as an exterior location in the latter episodes of Goodnight Sweetheart. The video passes close to the road used as the main exterior location in George and Mildred. The video passes by the Mary Wallace Theatre in Twickenham used as a location in series 2 of Goodnight Sweetheart.

The big church in Teddington is an arts centre that holds music events and where A Ha filmed The sun always shines on TV .They recored an albumn at Eel Pie Studios.

I watched the first 20 minutes today while on my exercise bike. I did feel guilty when 'we' were riding on the pavement and the footbridge. If I see you making any more, I'll engage you in conversation!!! I've been here for 30 years and didn't see anyone I know. I might pedal at double speed tomorrow for the next bit. Very interesting as I've never been to Teddington or Twickenham, But I'd like to see a series of videos following The River Thames from one end to the other! That would be epic! Or for a smaller scale follow the River Lea! 👍💕🇬🇧

@@WatchedWalker Each year they have an open day. It's a great secret place to visit. "Is Eel Pie island open to the public?" "Although the island is private and visitors are not allowed, twice a year, usually in early July and early December, thanks to the graciousness of the private residents who live on the island, we open up our studios to the public, so that you can view inside a working studio and browse, purchase or commission unique ..."
