It's always fun to see analogue getting into the digital territory. The number of gears, necessary precision, and maths involved to make this movement must be unbelievably complicated.

And manufacturing techniques.

Very significant achievement to actually innovate in such mature field of chronographes and at the same time deliver such elegant design. They set the bar very high and that's great !
@watchestv-com2 күн бұрын
Absolutely agree, the bar is mighty high with this new timepiece! The best to you

I saw what you did there; Oh, it's a fuodryante, oh, it's a tourbillon and it is a rotating fuodryante, and it is a monopusher chronograph. I think this is my favorite from Greubel, still very much in line with the complexity of the brand but also conservative in sizing. I guess employees at Ulyse Nardin will be watching this one, I won't be surprised if we see some additional complication to the freak next.

Stunner….has a nice Hanhart stop-watch feel…?❤
@watchestv-com2 күн бұрын
But yes, it’s a stunner
@DavidDatura3 күн бұрын
It’s very nice and understated and the perfect size too with an innovative and beautiful looking (and finished) movement. My only caveat is the completely unnecessary dedicated small seconds sub-dial. Why? When you have a clear and larger running seconds in the form of the flying tourbillon right next to it? And as its manual wind, it could have been engineered as a much more useful power-reserve indicator instead. Giving this watch 4 interesting complications.
@watchestv-com3 күн бұрын
Yes and agreed on a very purist perspective, but besides this “little” consideration, it’s still an amazing piece, one that I would to wear on a daily basis with immense pleasure

I love chronographs, so this just became my favorite piece by Greubel-Forsey⌚️💯 Given the size of this new piece, there's no excuse anymore (the price notwithstanding) for not owning a Greubel-Forsey.
@watchestv-com2 күн бұрын
Exactly, thinking the same, but there's indeed this little price dimension, well at least for me but just love this piece!

Generally Greubel Forsey watches have inclined balances it looks like this doesn’t have it and moreover the size makes me optimistic that in future brand looks to release more wearable timepieces overall awesome innovation and much more optimistic future.
@watchestv-com2 күн бұрын
Yes, this is their first flying tourbillon and thus flat on top of not taking too much space and resulting in a thinner piece. The best to you

I know what you mean about consoling yourself with a practical reason : for example , I do not own a Lamborghini Huracun because I’m not sure it would fit in my garage…😅

🤣🤣🤣 we indeed have to be pragmatic about those simple issues

i always wonder about this kind of watch, the oweners ,do they wear them or are they just an investment ?
@watchestv-com3 күн бұрын
This piece, you for sure wear!!!!
@Nefville3 күн бұрын
Amazing complication but awesome to see them making smaller watches. Not that I can afford one but if I could, at least it would fit.
@watchestv-com3 күн бұрын
Yes, it really makes sense and it's still super dense in terms of watchmaking meaningfulness. Thanks for your message

Annual production of almost 400 now. Truly screwed the early customers who bought into top craftsmanship and rarity.
@watchestv-com2 күн бұрын
Numbers are not that high but we get your point and things are going back to the origins of the brand and that's a good thing! The best to you
@UserKR132 күн бұрын
@ heard from a very good source it is definitely over 300+, close to 400. Publicly they say 200. Best to you 👍🏻

This brand does nothing for me. Is it beautifully made? Sure no argument here but I think the fact that it’s just so inaccessible for 99% of the watch community just makes it a novelty for me.
@watchestv-com2 күн бұрын
Understand your point, but same can be said about many other pieces, nonetheless this watch has some fantastic characteristics. Have a lovely weekend

I saw this amazing piece on Hodinkee this morning, and immediately thought... must check Marc André's Watches TV, and sure enough, delivered the goods! Thank you! It's lovely, really like the impressively small size with all that complexity, and the continuously upright foudroyante indicator. It reminds me of... the Ressence planetary display.
@watchestv-com3 күн бұрын
Thanks a lot and your parallel made me smile ;) The super best to you and a great weekend ahead we hope

I'm genuinely impressed with how close MAMACOO were able to replicate every aspect of this very very goofy looking classic watch.

At 9:09, the hand is not spot on the marker. That's just disgusting in my view. Apart from that nice watch. But it not lining up is a deal breaker for me.
@watchestv-com2 күн бұрын
Get your point and this was a proto, so you can count on them not to have this issue with their production pieces. The best to you and you have good eyes ;)
