*_Maybe it’s the fact that I have been in Coulson shoes in that I have had to manage new teams of talented people who had conflicting personalities, but: I just ADORE this episode! It is so realistic compared to so many TV shows or movies in which a team of people who have never met are suddenly pushed together and instantly work well together, as though they have been working together all their lives (Which NEVER happens in real life!). So the friction between the team members is very realistic and so is them coming together over common hardships! So while the first episode had me interested in the series when it first aired, this second episode had me realize it was going to be a very well written one (... But it’s the THIRD episode that had me HOOKED on the show!!! So can’t wait for you to react to that one!)_* *_Kudos on you mentioning the great score in both first two episodes now: It was created by Bear McCreary and he won Composer of the year in 2016 for his AoS score and has gone on to work for many great projects in film, TV and video games as well has being nominated for awards (and won quite a few of them) for his work._* *_LOL! Yes! A visit from the OG MoFo himself! So, note on that: Good on you for staying until the end as, unlike the Disney/Marvel shows, AoS episodes almost always has an after credit scene! (And many of them are quite important to see!)_*

Believe it or not this is rated as the worst episode of the entire show per IMDB ratings. It only goes up from here! (Though personally I don’t rate this as the very worst)

Me neither. The first few episodes of any show are at a disadvantage compared to later ones, I think, because they will be watched and rated by a wider audience - whereas later ones tend to get watched and rated by people who generally like the show.

I got bored and looked up the math on Fitz’s “2 Terajoules” line @12:53. It sounds like an awful lot, but a joule is pretty small. It works out to a bit under 500lbs of TNT. Which is a lot, and certainly enough to blow the plane out of the sky (heh. No pun intended), but it’s not city-destroying power. For comparison, for those who remember, it’s roughly half the power the of the explosion the Mythbusters used to destroy a cement truck.
