Fun fact about how the titans look so unnerving, and as you said "like average business men"-- the illustrator specifically modeled them after drunk people, the way that they kind of walk funny with vacant but kinda happy expressions. They were literally designed to look like (drunk) average businessmen haha.

The writer got the idea for the titans when he encountered a naked drunk business man who was so wasted he couldn't understand a word anyone said and he thought to himself the only thing that would have made the encounter more frightening is if the man was 10 meters tall.

When Keith is introduced in the 3rd episode, _very_ few people recognize that he was in episode 1. However, recognizing Keith in episode 1 _before_ he's been introduced is, let's just say, an interesting feat.

@@abortitwow Yeah, I think you missed my point: Watching episode 3 and recognizing Keith is extremely rare. However, name-dropping a character _literally before their name has been dropped_ is actually impossible - if you catch my drift. It would be like addressing Reeves Sr. and Louise by name when they first appear.

Based on some other comments, I think she was actually watching the dubbed version where the subtitles say [Keith] when he is speaking in ep1. Idk how ppl figured out she watched dubbed when this vid is the subbed version, but that seems to be my best guess (cause she’s been upfront in the past if she’s seen something previously)

9:48 She still is a really important character. Many of the characters in this show are. However, in the universe of Attack on titan, important characters don't live that long, only the characters that still have something to teach the viewer can make it to the next season

It also often feels bizarre, like they're in the wrong genre lol or feels odd they haven't seen it yet, but in a gift kind of way. this is why I like watching reactions, to see how people react in comparison when I first watched. I have a feeling she won't really like Eren. Compared to me that loved Eren since the beggining, even up to the end when most people start giving up on him my heart is still with him all the way. For example when she says maybe he is coming up with a poison for them and after that says that he is wrong that it's better to stay inside than throw urself at harms way those two opinions counter each other. how can you create a drug without a test subject, they would need contact with titans to start developing a drug, someone as to endanger themselves for that. If anything Eren is a noble kid who wants to protect everyone. By saying he is wrong you are just saying that Hannes and everyone else is right in just laying inside and wait for death. Even the dialog with Armin you can't say what he is saying is out of pocket, Armin doesn't deserve to be cursed at but he's grieving. Armin didn't lose anyone in the breach up to that point but Eren just saw his mom get eaten. I hope she realised after the colossal titan breaks the wall that every thing she said was dumb like going outside isnt dumb after all and gives him some more credit :) they are just cattle waiting to be picked for slaughter at that stage.

Story, this is one of the best story telling TV shows not just anime, that focuses on small details, and pretty much answers questions that have been put through out the show thoroughly. It has one of the best if not the best "plot twists" not only in animes but as a TV show, I reckon you would love it.

Keep in mind that in this chapter Wit Studio changed Eren's dream, for this reason at the beginning of Chapter 88 (the one-hour special) Mappa corrected this mistake. Mappa made that correction because Eren and Mikasa's dream is fundamental to the end of the work. In the first chapter of the manga it is understood that the dream that Eren mentions having had is about Mikasa and him, what this chapter shows, before Eren wakes up (titans, toys and corpses) is a change made by Wit Studio and has nothing to do with Eren and Mikasa's dream shown in the first chapter of the manga.

I’ve watched everything that has been dubbed. Still waiting for that ending though… I also want to add that you were asking how they aged/matured so fast within a year. If you’ve ever looked at photos of people who have gone to war, or who have been refugees from an invasion, their faces will have aged very quickly from the stress that they had endured. There’s a picture of a girl on National Geographic Explorer from decades ago that was actually 13 when the photo was taken. She looks much older.

The reason why the titans look suspiciously like middle aged office workers is because many of their likenesses are actually cameos of people the creator worked with or knew in his personal life. He inserted them into the series in titan form as a way of being silly.

This is an awesome anime but it requieres to put a lot of attention. Sometimes the information given in the slides of the midle of the show can really help (other times they are useless). If you are not good with names or keeping track of chronological events I strongly recommend that you take notes. Finally, the answers will come, eventually. Hope you enjoy the show.

yeah, this show is a little bit disturbing and dark. it takes a bit of time to get used to it, but the story becomes worth it. and although it's quite violent, the Animation and the soundtrack are beautiful.
