The reason they added in the memorial for Carlos in the beginning is because the actor who played him in the first 3 movies (Cameron Boyce) passed away a couple weeks before the premiere of Descendants 3. There was a lot of controversy as to whether they should continue the series or not, especially since most of the original cast didn't want to return because of his passing. That was a way of paying their respects to the actor.

​@WhiteGirlWatch the idea is that this is an alternuniver of the classic disney version villan if they had not dead because of their own evil and kids in the first movie learning that just because their parents were bad doesn't mean they are like their parents that they are their own person and they have to choose to be like their parents or not princess red I think that she is different from Mel the character from the first movie and they have some some jokes that don't work but some that do work but this movie is a great movie and to me it does show what wonderland is like in another universe and its as crazy as the original classic and the other version of Alice in wonderland. Also the guy in the picture is Carlos from the first 3 movies played by Cameron boyce who died in his early 20s and the third one was his last one and he was in a Adam Sandler movie that I think was called grow up correctly if I am wrong in the comments section guys but from there he was on a disney channel show called jesse about a Texas girl who became a maid to a rich family in NYC hotel and he became popular after jesse and then he was in the first movies and a animated series based on the first 3 movies of this and some voice work on disney Jr series Jake and the neverland pirates like Pete pan neverland in fact it was set in neverland and he voiced acted on season 2 and 3 then he was on disney xd for a sitcom called gamer's guide to pretty much anything about a guy who has a game channel and some how the game that he played some how take place of reality or he is copy the characters from the game in reality its completely confusing me because some of its in his mind and some of it is him copy characters from the game in real life I mean I do like going to my own world of fantasy but I am also the one who can tell the difference between fantasy and reality . A example of gamer is when robbers try to rob the store that gamer was in wearing a superhero costume and he defeat them all while we watched him play in his mind as a game and we see the robbers on the floor in the next scene when we are back in what really happened. It was confusing to when we are in his mind and when we are in reality . He did some voice work on the ultimate spiderman in the episode Halloween night at the museum and a episode of liv and maddie about two twins liv and maddie rooney both played by dove Cameron who also played Mel in the first movie with Cameron boyce who played Carlos ,anyway liv has been in Hollywood for a tv show called sing it loud where she plays Stephanie a nerd girl and she is famous while she sister maddie rooney is a basketball player for Wisconsin high school and her brother Joey rooney played by Joey Bragg a kid comedian is the nerd guy who likes cats and comic books like me and likes to fight like knight in armor did and then there is parker who is nerd guy but he also is a investor in making stuff for science and Peter rooney and his wife work at the school as a coach for the girls basketball team and one is the school psychology teacher and liv reprise her role as Stephanie for the sequel to sing it loud called sing it louder in the 4 and final season and liv played Tristan like hand in space wearwolfs movie based on a comic book even though according to her brothers that Tristan is a guy in the comics not a girl but I don't care as long as there is good writing and the way that it was shot in space wearwolfs it made me want to have it be real .Anyway, Cameron played some cousin of liv and maddie rooney that was a bad magic guy and he was never seen again after this episode .also liv and maddie has a tv interview like a g rated version like the sitcom the office or modern family while going sitcom things and we meet the crew that are doing the tv interview and it's for some documents of liv and maddie called bits and pieces that was the original name for the show until the heads decided the name should be changed to liv and maddie . Cameron boyce was a good actor and ashamed that he was not in this movie but this movie was a good way to say thank you Cameron and we miss you dude .

Your commentary is really entertaining, but if you’re constantly missing the plot of the movie, then maybe you need to balance the commentary, and actual watching time.
