The content nowadays feels so meaningless it's like it was made to be keys dangling to get the kids to buy all their merch while back then the content felt at least passionate and not like this monetary garbage.

Modern SML is something I put on as background noise whilst I'm drawing or animating and I'm just listening to it hoping that something interesting happens. It's like that feeling where you feel nostalgic about a game but then you go back to it and then you realise you just miss those old times.
