Nah if the husband really loved his wife he wouldn’t have left her just because she’s passionate about her work. You support your partner that’s what a marriage is about.
@Monicalake15 сағат бұрын
To defend him, she was working 3 jobs for 2 years. He probably felt single a few months into her teaching. Him staying for 2 years, to me was him trying to make it work.
@SupportGamin20255 сағат бұрын
@Monicalake1 true but he could've went back to school and got that degree like Erin suggested
@Monicalake14 сағат бұрын
@SupportGamin2025 It wouldn't have matter if he went back to school or not, if she was still hardly home. We saw on the night when he left, she was apologizing for being late again. That means she was staying late at school on her nights off from her sales job.
@ReeRee1606-h6j3 сағат бұрын
It wasn't about supporting her. She completely neglected her marriage and made decisions without even discussing them with him first. Her heart was in the right place, that place just wasn't in her marriage. She failed to carve out time for him and all she wanted to do when she seen him was talk about her students. She worked on her days off and would come home late, without even considering the fact that her husband was there waiting to spend time with his wife. He even tried to be intimate with her and was met with rejection, because her focus was on those kids. You can't be in a marriage and yet live a lifestyle as if you're single.
@Monicalake13 сағат бұрын
@ReeRee1606-h6j 💯 agree.
@aaliyahthomas14564 сағат бұрын
The husband didn't want to do ANYTHING. He was mad because she was finding her purpose and that is taking up more time. But if he had gone back to school like she suggested or found a hobby, he wouldn't be as upset. They could be sharing their lives together and making time for each other. Instead, he became complacent, and she didn't. She could do better tbh.
@SadesBDСағат бұрын
Bro couldn’t even listen to his wife talk about her job and how passionate she was about it. Thats bare minimum. Dude wanted a dog/pet, not a wife that’s a real person with her own life.
@aaliyahthomas145611 минут бұрын
@SadesBD Exactly. I hated when she asked why he couldn't support her like she supported him, and he responded, "Because I'm not a wife". Yall are married! Support goes both ways! Smh. Idk if they relationship was the dramatization part of the movie or if it was real life. But if it was real, I hope she found someone better after they divorced..

“you can’t teach them, you don’t even like them.” “what does that have to do with teaching?” that line really blew me away tbh
@Monicalake13 сағат бұрын
Her dad was more than likely retired and had the time to go to the dinners and events with her students. During the breakup conversation, her husband said, "He didn't wanna feel guilty for living his life, his way." If he didn't wanna go back to school, that was his decision, not hers to make for him, especially when she wasn't telling him whenever she got a new job.

Her husband was an unambitious HATER 😂
@gjjijji2 сағат бұрын
Nah he was right to leave
@ebonyh46842 сағат бұрын
@gjjijji why do you think that? His entire mindset was exposed when he told her just cause he wants to be something (an architevt) doesn't mean it's going to happen. He didn't believe in himself qnd wasn't taking any steps to make his dreams a reality - which is why it upset him so much to see her dreams of changing students lives becoming a reality. An unambitious hater. Instead of waiting up all night drinking his problems away he should have been hitting the books and trying to figure out how he can accomplish what he wanted outside of just being married. He had no goals of his own. He knew her ambitions and only started getting salty when they actually came to fruition. You're right he was right to leave cause he was holding her back with his negativity and laziness! He wanted a wife who would enable his mediocrity and she wasn't going for it! Did her a favour!

She reminds me of my calculus teacher from senior year. We all loved her so much and she had cancer young and never got a chance to have kids but she said it’s ok because she gets to have 32 kids every year. We got her a Mother’s Day card and all signed it and reached out to some of her old students on Facebook and had them send in videos.

This was one of my favorite movies as a child! From what I’ve heard from people in LA, schools used to be like this-Mexicans with Mexicans, Asians with Asians, and Black students with Black students. But they still got along with some outside their groups. I’m not sure if it was always this intense, but it definitely seemed different from the East Coast experience.

at 43:19 when you ask what would you do in that situation.. its so hard to say when you're actually in it. I think its easy to say you would throwing your loved one under the bus but have to think how would you be able to live with yourself knowing you sent an innocent person to prison. I can easily say also I would tell, but its easier said than done when youre actually in that position.

No! He want an old fashioned Wife one that follows behind her man and do what he tells her to do. He don’t like her Independence, He sees her Doing life changing things and He’d rather be the center of attention. That’s her ex husband.

Freedom Writers (2007) is one of the most greatest american biographical drama movies of all time. The story, performance's, direction, screenplay, motivational, inspirational, and powerful messages and cinematography was spectacular and phenomenal. It also gives a insightful and articulate representation of faith and hope as fight for what you believe in and stand for. 😍😎💯👍🏻

Biblically speaking....your spouse is always FIRST.....definitely not work and your household is FIRST.... it just for women but men too! This is a movie but in real life it's okay to be passionate but you never let work take completely over....if it was just a relationship and not a marriage that would be different.....you have to make time for your spouse......
