That’s a complete exaggeration tho. Mr. Weasley doesn’t “beat the brakes off Malfoys dad”. He gets angry and slams Lucius Malfoy into a bookshelf behind him and a book falls into Malfoys eye and gives him a black eye, at the same time Lucious Malfoy punches Mr. Weasley in the mouth and gives him a cut fat lip, then Hagrid breaks them up as if they were rag dolls cause Hagrid is way bigger in the books like 11 foot 7 inches.

@@edn also Ron Weasleys character is pretty much cut off, and elevate Hermione, in a interview the writer i think or director but i think the writer in these movies loved Hermiones character, in the books most like me favorite character is Ron. Ron is like Neville, he doubts himself Ron has a popular sister, and really good talented brothers, even his own mother wanted a girl, but endup had Ron before had Ginny after him, So in the books she not meaning to forgets he hates Maroon color, and he hates cornbeef, but she keeps forgetting and he unlike the others usually endsp getting handmedowns more than any of the others. Ron also was the one that knew about Mudblood, not Hermione, they were grown up in Muggle world so she and Harry wouldnt know the slangs. And the part where Mr Weasley hit him was golden! Mr Weasley is much loved in the books, though not much time in it. But over all and even ones youd eventually see later on Mr Weasley to me is my 3rd Favorite character. He loves Muggles like us finds us fastinating and that is cool plus he is like a father to Harry like as Mrs Weasley is like a stepmom to him. Also Ron was more braver in the books during the spiders, just like with the slugs, which if noticed he stood up for Hermione even took slugs to defend her, so that shows something. Same as him saving her from Troll, he went into the forest braving his deepest fears, even death isnt his most biggest fear its spiders. Which is because his brothers tease him and turned his teddybear into a spider. Lockhart if see end credits, he is in a ward for memory loss. Since the movies never update. Not ruining nothing by movie standards, but he never gets his memory fully fixed the books tell alot! MORE. and more indepth. But dont think Hermione is perfect, she has flaws, she when faced with situations she does panic like with devil snare she panics not Ron, She panics with Troll, shes good with books cleveriness but Ron has loyality no matter how he feels, and bravery. Harry has great talent too of his own accord and deep bravery.

He was a fantastic actor, one of the first Irish actors to play leading roles, and was one of the funniest people of all time. Another wonderful reaction! Fun fact: That scene in the end where Draco pulled Crabbe down back to his seat was a mistake caught and kept in the film. The young actor Jamie Waylett who played Crabbe forgot that they were not supposed to join in with the other Hogwarts students applauding for Hagrid they were to remain seated so when he got up to clap, Tom Felton who plays Draco dragged him back to his seat in hopes to not spoil the scene, but the directors found that useful and perhaps amusing and left it in the film.

Harry actually gave the free set of Lockhart books to Ginny (saving the Weasleys quite a bit of money since they needed 5 sets) and bought his own. The Lindsey Lohan movie with the sentient car is a reboot called Herbie: Fully Loaded. The og movie about the car is The Love Bug. You can't repair broken wands. That's why they snap them in half if you get expelled or sent to Azkaban prison. Hagrid keeps the pieces of his in his umbrella and why he's technically not supposed to do magic after being expelled at 13. Filch is so nasty to the students because he can't do magic. People born to 2 wizarding parents but with no magic abilities are called squibs (pretty much just as derogatory as calling a muggleborn like Hermione a mudblood). In the book their voices also changed when they took the Polyjuice Potion. It Would kind of defeat the purpose of changing into someone else if their voice didn't change as well as their appearance. I think they only kept their real voices because they didn't want kids who hadn't read the books to be confused once they changed. I highly recommend reading the books or listening to the audiobooks (complete with character voices) after you finish the movies. There are a LOT more details, characters and side stories in the books that they couldn't fit in the movies. They also changed a lot in the movies..like giving most of Ron's best stuff to Hermione because the screenwriter liked her character more. Hermione was smart and talented in the books but she had faults just like anyone else and Ron wasn't just a slightly stupid comedic sidekick. The screenwriter even took things away from Harry's character and gave them to Hermione.

Well, you forgot, there is one single way to fix a broken wand... While i won't say what it is, Dumbledore had that way, he's had it ever since his famous battle years prior to Hagrid's expulsion from Hogwarts. Because Dumbledore knew Hagrid was innocent and being framed, he most definitely fixed Hagrids wand for him before helping him hide it in the core of his umbrella. It doesn't matter what you put a broken wand in, there's no way a wand that's been broken in half works as well as Hagrids. If it did work, there'd be many others doing something similar to mend theirs, but it doesn't, you can't get it to work with the wood splintered...So, he's got his unbroken wand, he just can't get caught with it which is the only reason why it's disguised as an ordinary umbrella. Also, after this movie/book, it's pretty bad the Ministry didn't reinstate Hagrids ability to carry a wand legally...He should of applied for it, given the fact he's got enough evidence available, plus the defense of Dumbledore to support his innocence throughout all these years....Why they'd believe Hagrid was the Heir of Slytherin is baffling to me to begin with, the Ministry just wanted a scapegoat to make it seem as if they were doing their job and had everything under control, and because of the spider, Hagrid made for the perfect one.

@@DavidWWhite1973 I know that many don’t like Goblet of Fire because of the things that were cut, and it’s safe to say that many people feel that way about the other books too. I’m the sort of person that has to see a movie first before I read the book. I started this pattern, after many of the movies I watched after I read the book, were a big disappointments for me. I can separate the movie from the book when I look at the movie first. Prisoner is my third favorite movie. I’m going to be controversial, and say that goblet of fire is my favorite, followed by deathly hallows, two, and prisoner. That is not the order I would put them in when it comes to the books. It’s been a while since I read them, but I’m sure when I do re-read, my ranking may change. I respect your opinion, however. It’s amazing that Harry Potter remains a great topic for debate. One of the things you'll notice if you do it is that the filmmakers did a number on Ron, making him little more than a buffoon, a comedy sidekick, while at the same time making Hermione even more omniscient than she is in the books. A lot of the observations Ron makes and the good ideas he has are reassigned to Hermione in the films. MovieFlame has a great video about all the ways the films did Ron dirty.

@@edn Why not? It could be fun. Another tip, if you ever use a green screen, don't be too close to the green screen because if you have some light and the green color of the screen reflects on your clothes, it'll be a lot of work to remove it so that it doesn't blend with the fake background ☺️☺️

Short flying and/or sentient car movie history: "The Love Bug" (1969) I think some people decided to get Volkswagen cars after seeing this movie. I do not know if this was the first compact car, but most cars at the time were mid or large sized. "Chitty,, Chitty Bang Bang" (1968) A musical about an inventor who turns an old race car into an amazing family vehicle that takes them on adventures.

Interesting little filming fact, if you go back and look at the end of the film where Ron and Harry are in Dumbledore's office. The camera starts on the right hand side of the wall pans up slightly and moves to the left, if you look on that wall on the right hand side you will see Gandalf the Great. So in the films Gandalf was a former Headmaster of hogwarts, in the books however he was not. It's something I think Christopher Columbus added in, or someone else within the production team.

You guys are great! I love your commentary, you really balance your humor in a way that’s funny but doesn’t make fun of or look down on the films. It’s also impressive you got these 2 out so quickly. From movie 3 onwards really let yourselves follow the plot, there are lots of mysteries to solve and information to uncover. I won’t spoil anything as that’s the magic of it all :) They truly grow up and get more complex and fun to try to figure out. I can’t wait to watch y’all discover the whole series. I also can’t not be true to my username….any interest in reacting to a musical in the future? There is Hamilton of course which is excellent and available on streaming but also Billy Elliot live, newsies the musical and come from away all of which had their Broadway or west end performances filmed. I feel like it would so fun to see you discover that genre too.

So enjoy your heartfelt reactions. You mentioned about fantasy mystery and clues. If you watch the movies (over and over again as many like myself have done) you see and pick up on those clues which are not only clues to the movie you are watching, but also helpful info in movies down the road. Also if you read the books about their surroundings and the props, there are a lot of props in the movies that go somewhat unnoticed, but were helpful to the cast to make things more real such as actual menus in the pubs, signs, pictures, etc. I'm pretty sure too that the food in the first two movies was real or at least they often used real food. Of course digital effects were not advanced yet in the first two movies. They tried to use real props whenever possible such as an animatronic bird for Fawkes and a mechanical spider for Aragog. They also tried to used real building whenever possible. This makes the world building in the first two movies so crucial and important as it makes the wizarding world a believable place and for many it's why they can feel from the very start that "Hogwarts is my Home."

From the next movie onward the movies get darker and more grown up so you ll really enjoy them! Heads up the movies are a continuation of each other and every piece of info is important to the overall and final plot so although I really enjoy the commentary try not to miss it. Keep it up, the HP world is a real journey! PS: I find it hilarious when common english phrases like "rubbish" and "petrified" make such an impression on you 😂😂

20:50 i've been a fan of harry potter for as long as i can remember, i've watched the movies and read the books over and over again, and i've seen so many reactions that i can't even count them all... but this is still probably the funniest, most out of pocket thing i have ever heard anyone say about a harry potter character. i am in tears.

I'm not gonna lie....when I first saw the basilisk in this movie, I had the same reaction Ron had with Aragog. (side note: I am NOT fearful of snakes or spiders). Also, every time I hear Hermione say "She's a little sensitive" to describe Moaning Myrtle, I always have the same first thought: A LITTLE sensitive?" Side note: Hedwig is a snowy owl. They have white feathers with black spots that act as camouflage when they're hunting, their wing feathers are ruffled to muffle their wing flaps so prey animals don't hear them coming (like all owls, really) and they're the only birds in the world whose feet aren't bare, due to their habitat being snowy areas, like the Arctic Tundra.

This one has always been my favorite of the series, but the story gets even more intense from here on out. You're in for a wild ride but a great one. Also, it'd be neat if you guys did a video taking the Hogwarts House quiz, I'm curious to know where you'd be sorted! I'm Hufflepuff - as goofy as the name sounds it's actually not bad 🤣 Each house is characterized by different traits and values, so: Gryffindor = Bravery, helping others, and chivalry Ravenclaw = Intelligence, knowledge, wit, and creativity Slytherin = Ambition, cunning, and resourcefulness Hufflepuff = Hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play Contrary to popular belief, Gryffindor doesn't always mean you're good and Slytherin doesn't always mean you're bad. Both the books and movies put a lot of emphasis on the importance of making the right choices in life, so none of the traits are inherently evil or good, it's more about how each witch or wizard chooses to use them. And, as you can see, having Hufflepuff traits is pretty admirable, so don't be upset if you get sorted there. The house mascot is a badger and badgers are known for looking deceptively non-threatening but in reality are absolute beasts you don't want to mess with. It's a perfect characterization of the average Hufflepuff in my opinion 😆 Also, the Hufflepuff common room is said to be nearest to the kitchens, which is very much a plus considering the amount of food they serve up at Hogwarts lol

Proud of u guys. I first heard of Harry Potter back in 98' when our 4th grade teacher made us sit on the carpet while she read us the chapter bk. She said the school board suggested it and she fell in love with it. Before we lefy for Xmas break I gifted her a Harry on a broom ornament and over 10 yrs later she cane to my Jon at red Robin eith her hubby and kids and she told me she still had to ornament and she told her family about me every yt. Harry Potter brings mofos together!!❤ they don't even celebrate Halloween in this universe, but rhey celebrate Christmas 😊😅
