You documented for posterity what was left of Old Hollywood. You have become a documentarian, filmaker and historian of that time. You've done this with heart and humanity always because of your genuine interest and delight in what interests you. I've been thinking of you constantly sonce this tragedy began. Thanks for coming on and addressing the concerns many of us have for you and all those places and good folks you've shared with us along the way. My heart is truly broken for the depth and breadth of these losses both human and historical. It is everyone's loss. God bless us all and thank you Jordan for what you gave us all in documenting your interests with such humanity, kindness and enthusiasm all these years.

After just experiencing Hurricane Helene here in western NC, I am heartbroken for those impacted. As Americans, we need to have the utmost compassion for each other regardless of age, race, or economic situations.

I live in NC also and always complain about the rain, but I was about 100 miles from the flood area. That was horrible! Also I love SoCal and consider it my adopted state and wanted to move there someday. I am so sorry for everyone who has lost homes, pets, loved ones, businesses and schools due to these fires. It's so sad. I'm just shocked.

Unfortunately it’s the governor that can’t seem to take ownership of his mistakes. This could have not been so catastrophic. I know we always point fingers after something so terrible happens, but it is the truth. Unfortunately, so many people lost their livelihood, homes and some family members. I used to live in Southern California, my entire young life and adulthood and they just don’t take care of the state like they used to. In the 70s and 80s they use to fire breaks on the hills, etc. cutting back old brush, etc. anyways I feel you. I understand your sadness. I do feel the same way.

I'm sorry for your loss too, I know you lived there for a long time Jordan (as you said) and remember watching your vlogs in CA, so many wonderful places--including JAH at the dog park.🥰I'm glad you've already moved but it's still hard for somewhere you have memories. I moved to the LA area in 1993 and rented a guest house in Altadena. In October of that year, the Kinneloa fire broke out with the owners of the main house on vacation. As the base of the mountains began raging with wildfire just blocks away, I climbed up on the roof with a garden hose and did my best with the little water it could provide. In the end, houses throughout the neighborhood were lost. Watching the footage of the Eaton Canyon fire has been very emotional for me. Only now do I really realize what my young self was risking. May god be kind to all those affected and watch over those fighting the good fight.

It's devastating. I'm not in LA anymore, but many friends and family are. My good friend Joey lives on Alta Vista on the edge of West Hollywood and Hollywood, and he msg'd me that he was packed and ready, and then in about an hour he let me know he had evacuated. I've had friends who were burned out in smaller fires, but this is unbelievable! (And I think the death toll is just beginning to rise. So many of us have no one who looks in on us, are old or sick or can't drive... It's horrific.) On that somber note, thank you for this video.

Thank you Jordan for putting a human face to this tragedy. My niece worked as an RN for Orange County Children's. Her husband is in the entertainment industry. They moved two years ago out of California to another area that's big in film. Another myth, the industry is not limited to Hollywood but Hollywood is the heart. Charles Band opened up a studio in Cleveland. My niece is worried about her coworkers and all the homeless people. This really is devastating. Last spring there was a devastating tornado that struck Indian Lake. Living in Shelby County my heart went out to those people too. This kind of stuff can happen anywhere and it doesn't care what tax bracket your in. Political differences needs to be put aside and help your neighbor.
