I first saw this movie when i was in Hong Kong on deployment & here comes the fun facts: Martin Lawrence was offered the role of Detective James Carter. He declined due to Bad Boys & Eddie Murphy was offered the role after Martin Lawrence declined & he declined also. I love Ziyi Zhang (Hu Li) in this movie. She plays a villain so well, rocks a red lipstick, and makes a great femme fatale. She was also great in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters as Dr. Ilene Chen and Ling Chen. Also, how can you deny the beauty and talent of the Latin bombshell Roselyn Sanchez? One of my favorite comedic parts: Carter: Just tell me how the Triads gon' kill us. Lee: They will torture us for three days. Carter: I can handle that. Lee: Then they will cut off our eggrolls. Carter: Cut off our eggrolls? Hell no! Let's get the hell outta here! Side note: Michael Jackson watched this movie around the time he was planning out his short film for the song "You Rock My World" and contacted Chris Tucker for a guest starring role and Chris stated in interviews that Michael told him "I've seen your movie Rush Hour 2, you're kickin' with the wrong leg".
