The fact that he kept having that memory of his wife the whole time so he could see all those other signs is the biggest sign

First time I saw "Signs," every hair on my body, even on my head, my knuckles, stood straight up when the alien "broke up" the kids' party! No lie. My wife will attest to that. Heart raced, breathing got short, sweat popped out on my forehead. Chill went up and down my entire body. WOW! Great filmmaking!!

This is definitely an underappreciated movie, imho. I'm glad that you guys enjoyed it. I loved it from when it was first in the theaters. I'm a huge sci-fi fan and went into it expecting it to be an alien contact/invasion movie. I was pleasantly surprised that it turned out to be so much more. To me, it felt like an episode of the Twilight Zone. Great reaction!

All of his movies are about family and/or relationships, no matter what else is going on. The Village is also interesting, though many don't like it because it was not marketed properly when it was first released...

This is my favorite m night movie.. its actualy in my top 3 movies of all time... the way he edits the scenes of him at the crash scene with his wife... he builds it up the whole time and then we see the last part at the end when you least expect it.. we are like what is gunna happen this is crazy.. and boom cuts to him talking with his wife... then cuts to him talking to merrell.. the music as all this is going on... its perfection and gives me chills everytime... this movie is an absolute masterpiece

One of my favorite touches to this film is with the baby monitor. The signal gets strong twice, both times when the whole family is connected. The first time was them in/on the car, and the second was them all breaking down and holding each other at dinner.

I remember when the Crop circles appeared everywhere, we had loads in the UK. If you don’t know who M Night Shyamalan is, he played Ray in this movie, he always has a cameo in his films Amazing reaction again. 😊 For a true story of alien abduction, try A Fire In The Sky starring Robert Patrick, scary thing is they all passed a lie detector test.

One of my all time favorites. Dad saw this movie in theaters so the day it came out on TV/DVD/VHS or whatever it released on at that time he showed it to us. We grew up way out in the country surrounded by cornfields and deep thick forests. Even to this day when the corn is up and I have to go outside at night I am on high alert lol. If you had to go out at night as a kid then you begged a sibling to come with you and armed yourselves 😂. Course now I can pack heat every where I go so I am way more comfortable. But every now and again when I am on a country road late at night I start getting freaked out. Anyway I love this movie with my whole heart. Watching other people see it for the first time is like watching it for the first time myself again.

Some people like to hate on M. Night for a few commercial flops...but Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable, Split, Knock at the Cabin, The Village (maybe)...he's made some excellent films. They can't all have amazing "twists" like the Sixth Sense and you should just appreciate them for what they are. I didn't even mind Glass, Lady in the Water, The Happening (actually a very memorable movie, even if you didn't like it) and others. You just have to lower the high standard that Sixth Sense set a bit and get over yourself about The Last Airbender and you can enjoy his stuff more.

Great reaction as always! I think what makes it scary - at least to me - is that you barely get to actually see the aliens. A lot is left to your imagination... at least until the news footage scene. The shot of the tall alien walking by with the sound of the people in the back yard screaming was creepy and probably would've terrified me if I saw it as a kid.

I realize that this movie is meant to be scary, but I can't get over the hillarity of aliens being allergic to water.
@pintopowerllc5 ай бұрын
My theory is that, given the focus on faith and signs from God, the aliens are really demons. And the water would be analogous to holy water. Aleister Crowley, the occultist, was asked to draw a picture of a demon he allegedly made contact with and it looks like the “grey aliens” so signs could be an alien invasion film without aliens (but demons).
@learobinson44505 ай бұрын
Ever occur to you that it’s not the water itself but the stuff in the water. Water has sediment, chemicals, & bacteria in it. Plus most towns & cities add fluoride to the water supply. Despite what the bottled water companies tell you, pure water with absolutely nothing in it is quite rare.
@Th3Gam39255 ай бұрын
Yup. God created the cosmos, God created humans and God created aliens to inevitably lose to the humans in order for Mel Gibson to worship God again after God killed Mel Gibson's wife. The whole thing makes perfect logical sense LMAO!!!!

I loved this movie!! I saw it in theaters when I was really young. I had never seen a “scary” movie before aside from Anaconda or The Mummy (though those and even this aren’t considered scary or horror). But it completely changed me. I got super into horror and thrillers after I saw this. But the theater experience for this was so much fun! My mom who is scared of everything had to be convinced by my brother to take us. And even though she got scared she really liked it too.

It wouldnt surprise me how many people ignored or didnt care enough the fact how creatively the director setup the story & concept utilizing an Alien Invasion as a wake up call to those who might be on that path of loss or refuse to wake from a man-made controlled fantasy to see the SIGNS of GOD being around us in everyday life whether we believe in him or not he is there in the forefront.
@ak99ukАй бұрын
Yeah, I like how god killed Gibson's wife to test his faith, then created a race of aliens, who he must have hated, to kill even more people on earth. He/she/they moves in mysterious ways. Still, religious people will believe anything to confirm their biases.
