Watching *SKINS* for the FIRST TIME: ORIGINAL VS REMAKE!

In this video I watch Skins for the first time! But instead of watching only the first episode of Skins, I also watch the first episode of the American remake and compare the two. This idea was sourced from the viewers of my channel. I hope ya dig the video! :)

Yes the strange girl does have an eating disorder 😅 her names Cassie and she's one of my favourite characters (after Effy), despite how odd she can be she's actually the one who comes out with the wise advice most of the time and she has a really big heart ❤ ❤❤ XxXxX

"was skins the euphoria of the 2000s" oh a 100000% yes. Although I like the later seasons with Effy as a main (maze runner girl). As heartbreaking as they are.

Ohhhh, she doesn't take on a central role until later. I thought she was a main character so I was wondering why she had so little screen time in the first episode, hahah.

@@ZavieM yeah most characters you see in the pilot leave and a whole other set of kids take center stage. It might be bc im younger and grew with later seasons, but I do think Effy’s seasons and ppl are what put skins on the pedestal at the time. They intensified things a lot more and the storylines felt a lot more serious too.

@@valentinafangirling You're absolutely correct but it still felt realistic. Mainly because unlike most teen shows it actually showed how ugly the lives of teens could be instead of romanticising it, something euphoria still does.

@@thepanpaladin1043 thats crazy bc i feel like skins romanticized it a lot and that Euphoria does it less. Like everyone in Euphoria suffers the consequences of their actions, whereas I feel like in Skins they usually got away with shit and it was portrayed as fun😭 (except Freddie rip)

@Valentina Fangirling that's fair. I meant that Skins was shot in an ugly way, whereas a lot of the shots in Euphoria look very pretty and so felt more romanticised to me. Skins felt less romanticised because all the blood, bruises and puke looked exactly how it feels in real life and the shots often looked very dreary. Both of them romanticised things but Euphoria felt less real to me.

Just discovered your channel, new sub here! You are AWESOME, love your content of your tv show reactions, would love it if you could react to some short shows, IMPOSTERS (only 20eps, dont watch TRAILER - contains SPOILERS! great show, amazing actors, drama, suspence, thriller, some comedy...), WITCHES OF EAST END (only 20eps and soooo good!) and 2 short sitcoms with only 30eps/20min long SANTA CLARITA DIET & WRECKED, super funny, each season better than last... if you have some time would love to see your reactions to these 4 super short shows and please do them in full, not just FIRST & LAST episode but all the episodes since its only 20-30eps... THANKS, you rock! :)

@@ZavieM No problem, you definitly deserve it with the amazing quality content you give us! Yes they really are such underrated epic shows, and also short so its good because its not to big of a commitment with time like shows that have over 100 or even 200eps, these are only around 20-30eps in total... some might start a bit slow/boring but a few eps and you are hooked, each season better than the last...I bet you will love them all! Just be careful with spoilers, especialy with IMPOSTERS, its a really intriqing unique show that in my opinion is best to go into it blind, so no trailers before because they do contain a lot of HUGE spoilers... Yeah Wrecked is unfortunatly not well known, so far no youtuber has reacted to it yet, its really a shame because its so freaking good, slow start but amazing once you really get into it... its kind of like a parody to Lost, maybe not really sure but just in the sense that its a comedy/sitcom about people being stuck on an island because the plane went down, I dont know it kind of gives me Lost vibes a bit but in a comedy way... if you havent seen Lost totaly DOESNT MATTER becuase like I said its probably just in my head that it is a Lost parody hahahaha :P anyway cant wait to see your reactions, keep up the amazing work! :)

Hey! Pardon the audio thing at the beginning -- it doesn't last the whole video 😅. Also, The Wonder Years and The Office are next. But with the Office, instead of watching the first episode of each series, I'll watch what is considered one of the best episodes of each show. Whichever one makes me laugh the most is the winner!
