The screaming in the woods reminds me of a feline screaming, not by the sound itself, but by the structure. If you ever saw a cat screaming it's often a few loud yells to startle the opponent and then it goes to less loud growling or grumbling.

There's a video on x that I remember seeing a long time ago. It was just some guy who was out for a walk in the forest. He stopped to record with his phone due to noticing a vaguely humanoid tree on a hill. He then starts heading back to his truck to leave. On the way back to his truck he begins recording again several times because the tree appears to be following him at a distance. He walks miles and keeps turning around to find it somewhere. Never found that video again.

It's not just big cats that can scream like people. I nearly shit myself while biking to work one morning when I heard what I thought was a woman being attacked, only to spot a couple of stray cats crossing the street a few seconds later. Cats make some absolutely nightmarish noises when they're looking to get down.

I had seen all but the last clip, but this was a good selection of videos. Certainly among the more believable. Sorta. ;) I remember a few years ago seeing a really disturbing, fairly lengthy clip. I only realized after the fact that it was probably part of a film project or maybe even a legit horror movie, but it stood well on its own. I never saw it again. It started out with a group of maybe 7 people checking out this apartment as part of a paranormal investigation. They went into a routine of "table-tipping" where a table actually seemed to levitate pretty convincingly as they all placed their hands on it. Somehow (forgive me, it was a long time ago!) the group moved into a kitchen area with a long, connected pantry. They heard some noises coming from within the dark but apparently empty space, so the leader (a fifties-ish man) pulls out a FLIR-equipped video camera and looks thru it. All is silent for maybe 15-20 seconds, then the cameraman says in a low but urgent voice: "Everyone, don't panic but get out thru the back door-- NOW." The scene cut as they reconvened in a parking lot. The leader reveals what was captured on the infrared view of the pantry interior: A big amorphous shape that shifts and materializes into that of a large figure slowly, menacingly advancing.

PTSD really sucks, and one of the triggers for mine is repeated screaming (not the "jump scare" type of screams, more like the "I'm in absolute agony, for the love of God, someone please put me out of my misery" kind of screams), so I skipped the tree stand clip right after I heard the first one to avoid a possible anxiety attack. Still, I heard the first scream-like noise, and to me it sounded like it was probably a very big cat, mountain lion if I had to guess. Heard the same ones in the woods just out from my back yard a few times around 6 years ago, it was in fact a female mountain lion doing what my neighbors and I assumed was a mating call. Me and like 3 other people all called the local fish&wildlife service, after they knew she didn't have any babies around, they darted her and loaded her into a big cage in the back of a truck. From what I was told, they took her a few miles into the woods away from any homes and released her.

The one about the hunter setting in the stand and hearing that scream.. I REALLY appreciate that you recognize it's an animal noise! However it's a Lynx, and more than likely it's doing that to either run off a potential threat, or it's about to throw down with another animal. There's a video of two Lynx standing in the typical cat "face to face" fighting stance and they're both yowling and screaming in the almost identical way that the one in the hunter's video was doing. It's a proven fact that Lynx sound like a woman screaming (more so than a cougar) and can sound like they're in distress.

These abandoned buildings remind me of a Reddit post i remember seeing. It had a very freaky black and white image that was very distorted, and it had a figure that was smiling with the words “I know where you are” next to it. It was about some guy who had a dream about being in an abandoned area that was said to be very creepy, then they got a youtube notification from they’re favorite youtuber, which said that they uploaded a new video and the thumbnail was the same image i described earlier, and they woke up immediately after.

The crossbow hunter one is definitely animal screams. As a previously somewhat regular hunter I've heard similar stuff before; though I'm not enough of an expert to say what that animal is, I'd go with something pretty large from the sound (smaller animals tend to be higher pitched, cf. fox scream). The woods can be a very scary, odd place for people who aren't used to it, and I mean that in the sense of purely natural stuff that for lack of a better term I'll just call urbanites simply aren't familiar with. That being said, a couple bad/creepy experiences out in the deep woods are most of the reason I very rarely go hunting or camping anymore. As to the creepy video from /x, I'd wager that's just another person. They're not rare in abandoned houses within cities.... I spent well over 15 years heavily involved in the urbex community in the late 90s - mid 2000s. Having explored literally dozens of sites from houses to factories to bunkers to hospitals to schools to drains; while most were truly empty, it was also not unusual to encounter homeless people and partying teenagers, or even (once) a corpse. Though my team (and I advise you *strongly* never go alone if you're doing urbex) would only run into other people maybe 1 in 10 times, especially in abandoned houses there was almost always signs of homeless occupation like food cans, evidence of fires, sleeping bags, etc. Evidence of satanic stuff was also pretty common -- and I don't mean just 666 sprayed on a wall by teens. This was like black candles, altars, slaughtered animals and (I also study the occult as another side hobby) properly-done circles and symbols. People serious enough to do things properly, according to the grimoires. Anyway perhaps ironically I really only once saw anything paranormal that I couldn't explain in all my years of UE, despite exploring many places notoriously known as haunted locally like psych hospitals, even the old gothic ones that looked straight out of a horror movie. Appearances mean little. 99% were just old places: sad, often eerie, often beautiful in their decay, but certainly not haunted that I could tell. I'm also fairly skeptical and rational, and I believe rumor and one's preexisting belief level and expectation to see something going in are strong motivators for the "paranormal" things many people think they experience. There is however a small, innocuous looking old farm house on a disused dirt road a few miles from here that I would certainly hesitate to set foot in again if it's still standing... Very clearly defined "shadow figures" were present in several of the pictures that definitely were not there, or at least not visible, at the time. I ran a somewhat popular local regional website for several years as well as working with UER (ugh...) and worked with local historical societies and such, but finally had to give it up when other members moved on or lost interest (going alone is very unsafe). Still have all my UE pics, in all their awful 2001 digital camera glory. Kids these days are spoiled with iphones and instant UHD video and insanely bright LED flashlights lol

6:50 I've heard something extremely similar while hunting, it reminds me alot of the sound of a large corn feeder jamming on something squishy like a squirrel. No need to worry about the animal as they aren't normally strong enough to kill one, just stresses the motor. Still terrifying none the less, especially when you're alone at night with nothing but a few reloads on a firearm.

One thing you missed with the video of the armed guys is right at the end as they're running away, when they go to round the corner at the end of the hallway, you can see into the room right at the corner and if you go frame by frame, you can see what looks very much like the face of someone peeking around the corner at them as they round the bend in the hallway. It would be 26 minutes, 44 seconds, frames 10-12 (you can move YT videos frame by frame using the comma and period buttons)

7:40 if I was in that situation I’d either not move for probably hours or high tail it to a shelter I made, if there is one, when I go hunting. That at midnight would be even worse. I’d definitely make sure my rifle or bow was in proper condition. I know it’s most likely an animal, but I’m sure my mind would be thinking about so many things from predators being in the area tearing pray apart or some weird ass people being around. And to be honest thinking about other people being out there is a hell of alot more frightening to me. I don’t think I’d be surprised if I got extremely paranoid especially if it was getting dark. I guess that’s how urban legends and concepts of mythical creatures came to be
