It feels wrong to judge someone clearly at the end of sanity, and failed by the system, without all the context, terrible situation. Pig has some great takes sometimes, this one triggered me.❤️

That’s what I was thinking. I know there are abusers who are trapped in a cycle and want to change, but bro when this woman was traumatized by this man you can’t undo that harm. It doesn’t matter how much change he did, Elaine was very much emotionally disturbed from what he had done to her over the years. I’m very certain the fact he wanted to get custody of the children is a factor to her snapping. I’m trying to imagine from Elaine’s perspective, you are already paranoid of people watching and following you. You have suffered abuse from a man and the father of your children for years, feeling on edge all the time and that same man is trying to get custody of your kids? It’s definitely still deplorable that Elaine took her children’s lives, but all of these factors are horrifying to push her to this point. I’m only hoping she has gotten proper mental health treatment, it doesn’t erase the innocent lives she took but she still needed help.

The mother and daughters story freaks me out, cause I had a neighbor do the same thing during a custody battle over his twin 3 year old girls. But he did end himself too. The mom found them and came out screaming, so we ran in to see what was going on… I’ll never get that scene out of my head. So much blood… and despite the house being filled with car exhaust (apparently he tried gassing them first and it didn’t work, so he just cut their throats), the smell of the blood was somehow stronger. And now I totally understand when people say “he seemed so normal. I never saw it coming”.

The homemade videos are so f* heartbreaking.. that was such an preventable tragedy. The fact that she says "I asked for help" and she only got help After hurting those babies! The abuse was well documented, her insanity was known and the police did nothing until was too late. Everyone failed them! I hate this world 😓

She killed them bc she selfishly didn’t want to get her kids taken away from her even though she herself knew wasn’t fit to be a parent. There also saying now that the abuse she was Going through could have been exaggerated and made stuff up.

27:43 i can say from personal experience someone i grew up with in my church was diagnosed with schizophrenia after stealing an ambulance in my home town and going on a high speed chase through rural north dakota because “jesus told him he had to” hes been very sick mentally ever since it’s really sad to see :c religion and severe mental illness are such a volatile combination.

I vividly remember Elaine’s case, I can’t remember which channel I saw it on but it was way back in 2016 or 2017. It was so horrible seeing the extent of Elaine’s spiral. When I saw the footage of her daughters, my stomach dropped. Elaine was deeply emotionally disturbed from what her ex-husband did to her and feeling like the world was out to get her and her kids, she needed serious help. One quote from the case I remember summed it best: “It is more than disconcerting to think that if Ms. Campione had not been so abused, so used and discarded as a person, her daughters would still be alive.”

The second story- a similar thing happened in my town. We had a carnival like we do every year but we were having really awful windstorms and me and a few friends were skeptical about why the bounce houses for toddlers were still up but they refused to take them down Sure enough, they started to fly away. My friends boyfriend was there and started slashing at the houses and pulling kids out during the chaos, I think a lot of them had broken bones and he was just.. off and traumatized for weeks. They took down the houses but the carnival went on

There has to be more going through that mom’s head than just “mercy killing” her children and herself. Drowning is one of the slowest and most agonizing ways to die, and it takes minutes to drown, not seconds like the movies. She had to continue to make the decision to keep those poor babies under the water.

The situation with the mother and daughters is not super rare unfortunately. My best friend from when I was a teenager had a 5 year old step sister who was killed by her dad because he was losing custody of her. While watching that video I choked up quite a bit because I will just never know how you can do that to your own innocent babies.

Before I say this what she did was wrong 10000%. The husband plays a part in this though. As someone who was mentally and physically abused for 3 years and almost convinced to have children with him I can confidently say that situations like this stem from the man. Mental and physical abuse can completely destroy your brain and how you think and feel. Men like this know your triggers and he probably knew this would be her last straw. Obviously not knowing the implications of that but still he knew it would hurt her and send her in a spiral. Men like that don’t change ever. So I truly feel this is both of there faults.

She surely had parents, siblings, friends, etc. How did none of them not pick up on her mental decline. Not excusing her actions at all but her loved ones should have helped her because you can feel it when someones behaviors shift. I knew my brother was going to try and "check out early" long before he had the chance to attempt anything.

I've known of a family in my hometown who were known drug dealers with mental health issues that got to keep custody of their kid even though relatives tried to step in. Thankfully for the kid it didn't end up like this but they are definitely not doing well now.

We see the system fail her and the kids beforehand with all the abuse she described them going through at the hands of the father/husband. Im sure there were things like that, there were programs and such that they could have mandated to help her, but they didnt care until it was too late. When kids are gone, shes mentally out of it, and the father walks away without an ounce of punishment for his part in all of it.

The people in the comment section seem to ignore the fact that her abuser was fighting for custody. The abuse he brought onto her had affected the mother to the point of believing it’s better to off her children rather than give them to her supposedly reformed husband. It really tells you that these children were unsafe anywhere. No one performed an intervention to secure those children. The mother was obviously mentally un well to the point she decided to do such a horrible act. And the father, if he was truly “reformed,” this is the consequence of whatever he put that woman through. The only victims here are the children and it’s sad that they weren’t safe anywhere. Sucks that the law allowed her abuser to potentially regain custody of those kids, and it sucks that they didn’t do enough to check this woman mental health. Maybe if they did, those children would’ve been placed in a stable environment with other relatives.

Just because the mother gets to have weekends to attend church, it doesn’t mean anything, that’s the bare minimum of prisoner rights. The fact she also is suffering from severe mental health issues also factors in on her with any other mitigating circumstances. It sucks but that’s the whole part of rehabilitation. So she has certain privileges but it doesn’t mean her life is by any means wonderful.

Unforgivable for you would be cutting your hair any shorter than it is currently🥺. You can continue to let it do its own thing and grow even longer, but this is now the minimum length you're allowed to go. You can keep it trimmed up at it current length to keep it there, but no shorter. If you do choose to do the UNFORGIVABLE, UNCONSCIONABLE, INEXCUSABLE, UNINTELLIGENT, RECKLESS, IGNORANT, IDIOTIC, and cut your hair short again you'll lose 99% of your subs and all credibility. The thing to do would be to grow it another foot or longer, then donate all past where it is now to the Children With Hairloss charity. You could even do a fundraiser for it. I did it twice. I'd let it grow to about my waist, then cut it back to the bottom of my shoulder blades. Grow it back and do it again. Now though, I'm going to see how long it wants to grow. It's just under 6ft long now. 😮
