Literally yesterday I was listening to At the Drive In in the shower and I thought to myself "man I wonder if there were any old school melee players who were also into the hardcore music of the time." I think the early melee scene coexisting with that awesome era of early 2000s hardcore is a really cool concept, but I was too young at the time to know about either competitive melee or hardcore music. I'm not saying anyone's account is infallibly conclusive, but Hugs never drops a chance to talk shit on Ken, so I think it's worth at least listening to the opinions and perspectives of the two people who were actually involved.

Brawl is a fantastic game, I doubt we will see another smash game with as much pure content as brawl. I also had a bigger competitive scene than melee too, and many competitive players did enjoy the game.

yeah i think this doc certainly didnt portray brawl in a positive light, but this is a melee doc so it was explaining how the melee players felt about it, which i guess wasn't explained to not be the general feeling on brawl. brawl has its competitive place
