Whew. The fight scene was an EXPERIENCE in the theater. They never actually tell you what Alice’s vision is in the book. So NO ONE was expecting Carliles head to be in Aros hand. The whole theater audibly gasped. There was crying and screaming . It was an experience for sure lol

My mom and her friends had all finished the series and let me tag along so when Carlise lost his head everyone was panicking and I was just sitting there like "that's how this series is going to end?!"

I saw this in a theater in La Push on opening night. The fight scene was totally unexpected for all of us. My friend sitting next to me was clutching my hand repeatedly screaming "WHY, WHY, WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS TO ME". The horror in the theater was overwhelming. We were all so traumatized by it that we walked back to the hotel in complete silence. It makes me laugh so hard now just thinking about it. So many good memories created with the ladies in the Twilight Fandom. I made some of the best life long friends of my entire life because of these books and movies. So as ridiculous as they are, and they ARE ridiculous, they will always hold a special place in my heart.

The twist gets a lot of flack, but considering a battle never even happens in the book, I'm glad the filmmakers found a way to incorporate one into the movie, even if it didn't actually happen. And I'll never forget the reactions from the audience in the theater.

Considering the ending in the book is the three dudes holding hands in a circle and deciding not to fight, having the vision fight without telegraphing to the audience they were keeping the original ending at least made it a little exciting.

The two wolves that "died" were 1st Seth, the youngest pack member and Jacob's most loyal friend in the wolves who had no issue with the Cullens and the second one to sacrifice itself was actually Seth's sister, Leah, the only female wolf and the one who had her heart broken. They were Jacob's loyal pack members and the children of the guy who died of a heart attack in the first Twilight movie. That was why we were all supposed to feel bad for those particular wolves dying.

Here's the explanation for why the baby was CGI, as promised: They had to make a choice between using an animatronic or cgi, and they chose animatronic. The result is what the cast has gone on record saying that it was the ugliest thing they've ever seen, and there were so many different problems with it, it was ultimately why they had no choice but to do cgi. The animatronic was called Chuckesmee.

And yes even very nice people can buy into racist tropes and think they're "romantic." Personally I think Meyer would have been better off inventing a culture, or not making werewolf an ethnicity, but a thing that happens to you and you cope, like regular werewolf lore.) The basic principles of "imprinting" (fancy name or not) are "make friends with a toddler until she's old enough and accustomed enough to your presence that you can take her to bed and she won't resist because she's been given no options ." That is grooming, and it is gross (and illegal). Its real-world implications are gross, and even its fantasy-world complications remove free will (what if the kid grows up lgbt+ or ace or wants to travel?) The baby's brain doesn't "imprint," it gets "trained" over time to think this is the only choice, trained by the person who's supposed to love it. And this is presented as romantic. Just...ick. This takes the "one true love" whatever a step too far.

That way Jake could've acted as the kid's protector and like a brother figure than some perv waiting for the child to become of age. And better yet my head cannon of him and Leah getting together and making their own pack could've filled both of their rejected butts with a more fulfilling purpose than being loners. But noooo we got this instead and none of that gets into the real life damage this franchise caused Native Americans. Ugh.

I saw this opening night and the fight scene was so shocking and terrifying. The woman sitting next to me who I didn't know was crying so I held her hand and she didn't let go until the credits. Haha the best was when the song a thousand years started everyone in the entire theater started to sing along. Even though now that I'm an adult I'm not as in love with twilight as I was as a teenager. I will never forgot that night in the theater and the special energy and bond we all shared. This one is wild, but I enjoy it for the craziness. They spent a whole movie telling us how dangerous and uncontrollable new vampires are, but Bella is instantly in control of her hunger 😅 Your clap when she yeets that baby in the 🔥!!! 🤣🤣🤣 You got so hype only to be let down Billy! I was not disappointed! It's the best part of watching guys react to Twilight. I do like the big fight, even though it's a fake-out. Way better than the one in Eclipse just for scale and insanity.

Laughing my ass off at you Billy waiting for the immense disappointment after the vision reveal. My besties and I were hooked readers and when we saw the moment Carlisle died the whole theatre erupted in screams. My friends and I included. Looking at each other and back to the screen over and over. Like this can't be real but its going on so long it must be real, but it can't be. The whole theater was a mess. Almost a decade later my tastes have matured however this franchise is always close to my heart even though it is what it is. lol

At the time I had never read the books or saw any of the films, but went with two twihard friends to see it in theaters. That fight made it 10x worth it because none of the book fans saw it coming so their reaction was *chef's kiss*

I loved the books and the fight took me completely out of the movie, they went too far killing Carlisle I was immediately like no that didn't happen, they wouldn't go so far from the book. I actually figured out it was a vision but literally had to rewatch it to appreciate it. It was opening night though and everyone else was losing their minds.

I saw this movie twice in opening night. At the 10pm & then midnight showing. I’ll always cherish the memories of the special things I did cause of Twilight. Like going to Forks, or the filming locations(Prom,Bella’s house, dress shop,etc), and all the midnight screenings & DVD releases. Not to mention sharing the books with my mom. I still have all my Twilight merchandise. I could literally open a store I have so much. It was a great moment in time.
