Every time I hear about 'Alpha Male's I immediately think of the gay fanfiction term 'omegaverse'. In the omega verse, everybody has a secondary sex. Alphas are the strongest and are 10% of the population, betas are 85% and are the only ones without secondary sex features and omegas are 5%. Alpha females can impregnate and get impregnated whilst alpha males can impregnate as well. Omega males and females can be impregnated and omega males can impregnate others. Omega are commodities and usually unemployed.

The craziest part about the whole alpha thing is that not only was it never meant to be applied to humans, but it's even been largely debunked in relation to wolf packs (and even when it was applied, it didn't mean the same thing that the "alpha males" seem to think it means- for example, "beta" does not mean "low status", the beta wolf is the second in command and one of the most important animals in the pack). So essentially, these people are living their lives based on a complete misunderstanding of a since-debunked theory that was never meant to apply to their species in the first place. Mind you, when you look at how long religion has been a thing, it's hardly that surprising I guess...
