It is interesting how the soulless trolls are out spreading negativity about the government who is doing the best job ever for the Jamaican people. They hate it that the country is experiencing an economic boom with positive financial standing in over 60 years, that there are jobs jobs jobs for people, and things are very positive for the country. Sad to say that the PNP henchmen are doing the best they can to spew negativity to see Jamaica fail. They will do anything and everything to stop the advancement of this beautiful country. I suggest that they look at all the gruesome killings of young women and babies, the misogynistic behaviour of members of their party, and the boorish behaviour of many in their party. There have been some positive achievements under PM holness (and I'm saying that as a so-called born PNP). However, he ignores crime as if it's not happening while not displaying the temerity to introduce tough legislations. Even in this speech, he glosses over crime, opting to talk about social programs. Crime in Jamaica is real!!

Hopefully, the communities that will be built around hotels will include locals having access to the beaches. It's so sad that the locals are loosing more and more access to the beaches and the government seems to be covering their ears and ignoring the cries of the people.

It's a false narrative that Jamaicans are loosing access to the island beaches and you have no data to prove that as the few large hotels make up a very small percentage of beach. The vast majority of hotels are in mobay, negril and Ocho Rios. We have beaches in st Mary, Portland, st Catherine, Clarendon Manchester st Elizabeth, westmoreland and Hanover where are no hotels are on beaches. We need to speak with facts and not speculation

Having stayed at a number of these hotels including one named by the PM in his speech, I have seen their security guards preventing locals from walking along the beach. The hotels have the best beaches and do prevent access to locals.
