Thx for the fast Mclaren update. Yes complicated car, but it come with the territory. How is it compared with the R8? Is it worth, beside the name , the additional expence? I know it’s a different animal, carbon frame eg, but same basic layout. Tuning wise the R8 platform could as well be upgraded, and be even more sellable.. Could you please share your thoughts about the future for the Bentley? Just a crude roadmap would be nice 😊
@cncit2 жыл бұрын
The F1 was McLaren's 1st stab at a low volume supercar but it took 100's of hours to make because the carbon tub manufacturing process wasn't viable for mass production at the time hence the high price when it was released! The 12c was a quarter of the price I think? They could make the 12c tub in a matter of hours and that tub hasn't changed much throughout later models.

If in any mode (other than pure electric on my hybrid Panamera), you smartly tap the accelerator pedal it will instantly change down (with a blip) into the lowest available gear for maximum acceleration. I think the best feature on all McLarens I have driven has been the hydraulic power steering. It is the only one that has bettered the hydraulically assisted steering on my 997 Turbo S.
