Being a non-native English speaker I had to search for the right word to use. “Exquisite” describes it well: “marked by flawless craftsmanship or by beautiful, ingenious, delicate, or elaborate execution”!

I'm also pretty sure he doesn't do all this in one sitting. I'm more curious to know how much actual time it takes. Even if this is 20 hours of work, that's still less than a week of work time.
@theselectiveluddite Жыл бұрын
@@mungtor In the title it says it's 100hrs, and on his Discord channel he commented that it was over several weeks. As an engraver and watchmaker, I have the work put up to a level so that there is no stooping over, and my arms/elbows are supported. This pretty much eliminates back/joint pain/strain. Cheers

All of this fantastic and beautiful engraving on a tool, a lathe face plate. I think Chris is practicing his skills with some clock/watch project(s) in mind for the future. Combine all of the decorative techniques that he has demonstrated, straight line engine, rose engine and engraving amongst others, in finishing a highly precise mechanism we will see something that has us all in awe of the final creation.
