It sounds like God wants us to be miserable and to deny everything that we want. I just want peace and I want to be happy and content. But this decision to follow God through Christ is a life of suffering. Nobody really wants that.

@SonOfGodphotography it is because of sin. We need to deny ourselves, pick our cross and follow Him. Christ denied Himself. He gave up all for us. We can't go to heaven while we are selfish, and want all the world has to offer. Only what we are going to heaven with is a Character purified through faith in Christ.

@@juliettajoseph8471 I am still very bitter from losing almost everything. But I know that you are correct. I need God to change my heart. I had a life of pleasure and success and anything I wanted and going anywhere I wanted and experiencing whatever this world has to offer and, my circumstances are not like this anymore. It’s my own fault and I am not blaming anybody, but I am just questioning GOD because I have been searching for him my whole life, but those things of the world led me astray and it was like I didn’t need GOD anymore because I had everything I wanted here, so maybe I lost it all because even if you gained the whole world and lose your soul, it profits you nothing. Sin is pleasurable, but it hardens your heart and my heart is still hard from it. I don’t have the means to indulge in those things anymore, but my heart is still in the world and that is why I am complaining. Just pray for me and hope that God can change that, thank you

I have a mental situation going on where I made a decision in the past that caused me to be taken advantage of financially and to lose almost everything. I lost my employment. I lost my investments, and I had to move from a city where I had my business. Everything I identified with was taken from me and it’s hard for me to take responsibility because when I do, I just have regret and I wish that I didn’t do that decision. I have been to counseling and even listen to gospel messages but nothing is working and I just sit around depressed. I can’t stop forgetting the past I think of it as I want that life back before I made that decision to invest elsewhere. I reimagine my life how it would be if I stayed there and then I snap out of it and sit with the regret and depression and the only thing that makes me feel better is when I go to sleep and forget it all. I hate waking up because it starts over the same mental anguish. I think it’s something that I have to do to forget the past but nothing is working. My mind sabotages everything and I give up. I just keep accusing myself for being stupid and losing. Sorry for rambling.

First of all, thank you for sharing your heart with us. I can feel the pain, regret, and anguish you are experiencing, and I want to remind you that you are not alone. God sees your struggles, and His love for you is deep and unshakable. You are precious in His eyes, and no matter what mistakes or decisions have been made, His grace is greater than anything you are facing. I know that your heart is heavy, and it can feel as though you're trapped in a cycle of regret, but I want to encourage you to not give up. The past can be a heavy burden to carry, but you don’t have to carry it alone. The Lord invites you to cast all your burdens on Him because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7) Your worth is not defined by your past mistakes, nor by the things you have lost. God is a God of restoration. He can heal the deepest wounds of the heart and mind, and He is faithful to bring new opportunities, even when everything feels lost. There is hope for a fresh start in Him. Please allow yourself the grace to let go of self-condemnation. You are not stupid or a failure. You are a beloved child of God, and He is with you in your pain, offering you His peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Prayer: Heavenly Father, I lift up this precious soul to You. Lord, You know the depth of the pain and regret they are carrying in their heart. We ask You to pour out Your healing power over their mind and spirit. Release them from the grip of past mistakes and regrets, and help them to forgive themselves as You have already forgiven them. Lord, give them the strength to break free from the mental anguish and give them rest for their weary soul. Let them experience Your peace, Your love, and Your restoration. May Your Holy Spirit fill them with hope, knowing that no matter how lost they feel, You are always there, working all things together for good. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for more support, whether it’s through prayer, counseling, or just someone to talk to. God is walking with you through this, and He will make a way for healing and restoration in your life. You are not defined by your past; you are defined by God’s love for you. You are loved. 🌸

You are not alone, He never left you even when you were making the decision He was there and now that you have made the decision He is still there with you, for He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you and He knows exactly what help you need at this moment and He will bring it your way

@ I have learned that what I need is godly sorrow for my sin and I need to repent. I am just upset for losing things in the world and these are all the consequences of sin and it’s a worldly sorrow that just leads to death. It’s up to God when I get a godly sorrow. I don’t want to sit around and play games because I really just miss my life before these consequences came and I started losing. I believe God is there. He has a way of shutting the door and that’s what he has done so far. If he fixed everything, I might just go back to settings and that’s not what I want to do so however long it takes that’s up to him.
