Random thoughts about some of these... Bieber: OK, he may get hell from people for all sorts of things, but he handled that perfectly. No hinting, no hiding it, just telling the audience the truth. I gotta respect that. Madonna: A pro all the way. Cyrus: What made this so uncomfortable was that it made it impossible to not realize that there was something very deeply wrong with Disney. I mean, how did she wind up this way? Fergie: I blame Whitney Houston and her ostentatious rendition for this crap. It's not supposed to be about the singer. Spears: This looks so clear in retrospect. You can see her realizing that she's been turned into a piece of meat. I'm so glad she's found her freedom.

Britney Spears’ performance wasn’t because she was bad. She said in her book that she had been forced to do the performance (she really didn’t want to do it). Her manager and father booked her to do the performance without asking Britney. She’s just had a baby and wanted to stay home with her Son. She said she didn’t tell like she was in great shape either and wanted to cover up more, but instead the clothing team made her wear a skimpy outfit. She also said that she had been given only an hour to rehearse the whole performance, stage setting, and choreography. She hadn’t been giving any rehearsals prior to this performance apart from one hour on the day of the performance, just before she had to go on stage ✨
