Correction on the Alien movie. The cast did not know about the chest bursting open. The director wanted it to be a surprise and get a real reaction from the cast. This is what the director said his self in an interview.
@melt_brainАй бұрын
i really don't seem to understand how this youtube channel has been around for almost a decade and still hasn't done proper research. everyone who's even seen snippets of the film in passing knows that that entire scene was shot without the crew's knowledge. sigourney weaver did an interview with E! entertainment forever ago about it and said it was still one of the scariest things she has ever witnessed as an actress on set. i've seen that move a million times almost, and even i get a little freaked out by it every now and then. it isn't that hard to look up an interview about this film. hell, they've had so many collabs with big brands like fortnite and alien vs predator, it's not hard to find something related to that.

The summer before The Ring came out, I was with some friends at ComiCon and we came across a barrel filled with video tapes and a sign that said, "Free! Take One!". I took the tape and put it into my backpack and forgot about it. A week later, my friend and I remembered and put it into the VCR. If you've seen the movie, you know what was on the tape. We hadn't. When the tape ended, my friend looked at me and said, " Why would someone do that?!" and burst into tears. It was a long time before she could calm down.
@ivypoisonxАй бұрын
that must be an iconic memory though sounds terrifying at the time. I still remember watching the Ring for the first time and when the movie finished my aunt rang us and me and my mom screamed at the phone call lol
@zedudemsАй бұрын
Same here! Except at the festival I was at, somebody left the tape on my car with a 'watch this' sticker on it. My friends and I were like "dude, I hope this isn't child porn!" 😂 Then we watched it and were just like "okay, that was weird". The next year when I saw The Ring and it got to the part where you saw what was on the video, I remember being like "wait....I've seen this before....oh wow!"

Sally running away from Learherface is far from the scariest scene in that movie! 1. Hitchhiker chasing the van 2. The realisation that the clerk is part of the Sawyer family and attacks her 3. Leatherface putting the chainsaw through her brother (can’t remember his name rn) and then chasing her through the forest 4. First appearance of Leatherface 5. Putting the girl on the meat hook 6. Sally sat at the dinner table

I nominate 2...the Room 237 scene in The Shining (1980), and the moment in When A Stranger Calls (1979) when the police officer on the phone told the babysitter "we've traced the calls. They're coming from INSIDE the house". I was home alone at 11 years old and it was dark outside. I've never been that frightened in my life and I'm 54 years old.

Candyman’s a weird horror movie in that unlike most horror movies where you’re screaming at the characters to run away, to not go into the haunted house, to not mess with the so called cursed or haunted thing….All you have to scream at the characters is just DON’T SAY HIS NAME FIVE TIMES! Literally that’s it! You can say it once, twice, three times even four times…..JUST DON’T SAY IT FIVE TIMES! That’s it! Honestly if Candyman kills you it’s on your own head dude. #98 Just my opinion, but this one should be much higher... Top 30 I should think. I mean, this is one of the most unexpected, well shot "fast zombie" attacks ever filmed Also, the acting is spectacular. Zelda from Pet Sematary should’ve been higher on the list. Scared me for years. The look and the voice. Would have to plug my ears and close my eyes for a long time while watching it. Plus not having Kane from Poltergeist 2 is just wrong. Him and Zelda were the worst.
