Honestly instead of reboot, they really should do an ANIMATED SERIES BASD ON THE BOOM COMICS. The way it portrayed Tommy was done with Justice and would be better with slight changes.

Honorable mentions: -Kendall (Dino Charge): to me I hated her as a character in the early episodes, but when she got the Purple Energem, she really grew started to grow as a character. Blake and Hunter (Ninja Storm): a cool duo of overpowered rangers with the nice bad gone good story. Zenowing (Dino Charge): yet another cool non human power ranger

Fun Fact: During filming for Super Megaforces' Legendary Battle Episode, Tommy was fooling around with Hector David Jr, (Aka Mike aka Samurai's Green Ranger), and put the Dragon Shield on Hector's Ranger Suit, creating a non-existent power up for the Green Samurai Ranger (or Armed Shinken Green going by Super Sentai standards) A picture of this is on Reddit.

My Top Favorites (in no particular order) are Levi/Aiden (for having an awesome Power Ranger Design), Leanbow (for being Nick's Father), Antonio Garcia (for being Hilarious and an Awesome looking Gold Ranger), Daggeron (for HAVING ONE OF THE BEST LOOKING RANGER FORMS EVER!), Sir Ivan (for having another Awesome Ranger Form), Zhane (for his debut Morph and On-Screen Fight), RJ (for being the show's very first Purple Ranger), and "Doggie" Cruger (for HAVING YET ANOTHER ONE OF BEST LOOKING RANGER FORMS EVER!).

As a ranger Tommy did it all. He was the first evil ranger, the first sixth ranger, he became a team leader, and the most important thing about Dino Thunder is that he was their teacher and mentor in and out of school. May the power protect him even in death.

Here’s an idea for a future list: Top 10 (or possibly 20) worst decisions made by power ranger villains. Two examples that I can name right off the top of my head are master xandred burning dayu’s harmonium and toxica touching the fountain. In xandred’s case, not only did dayu leave the netherworld (and refuse to go back in retaliation), but later on, we learn that the harmonium’s music helps soothe xandred’s headache. So he brought it on himself. And in toxica’s case, she did have no idea that the water from the fountain would electrocute her. But not only did it blow her cover, it also caused the already fragile trust she has with the one dude with the two mouths (whose name I do not remember and/or care) to get worse, to the point where they trick her into cutting off her horn and eventually gets “vaporized” to hell. So, she ultimately let her curiosity get the better of her.

How about Kamdor choosing to gloat about having the Star of Isis? He literally stands there, holding it up in the air and then turns to leave, allowing Ronny time to steal it back. Or, what about Broodwing tossing down the controls to the Space Patrol Delta Rangers that Moony had programmed? He must've known that Kat would've figured it out, being a technical whizz. I've got one more as well. What about the episode of Mystic Force when Serpentina was devouring the other rangers? She could've swallowed Nick and Vida, rather than try to destroy them with a blast, allowing Itassis to intervene.

Heck, even in fan favourite seasons, the villains make rookie mistakes. Dino Thunder? Zeltrax could've struck down Tommy while he was strapped down in "Back In Black" (I mean, Mesogog hates him, so I don't think he'd be too badly punished for it.), or in Lost Galaxy, Hexuba should've sent all the monsters to attack Terra Venture in "Hexuba's Graveyard" rather than one at a time.

As for JDF...shocked to hear and the cirumstances, Always a ranger.... You know truthfully I would have thought the Phantom Ranger would be higher on the list just because it's a character that seems to carry a lot of significance to the Ranger timeline. We saw him in Turbo and served to be a powerful and worthy ally, but we also saw him return in In Space and served a function there as well, on top of the BOOM studios comics as mentioned. I'm glad to see him get a nod though. I love this ranger.

@WatchMojo the wonderful work you did is awesome now I don't agree with every entry and let's get to the two wolves they are a case of Kong and Godzilla Merrick is Kong he was the first but in a time when the show couldn't decide if it wanted to be a power rangers show or a sports show it's likely made worse that they sentai is probably as bad or worse when it comes to those elements and then RJ came along and he was the Godzilla of the two because he didn't come first but he was better he broke the master/mentor mold the rangers even fell into the trope at the beginning before finding RJ but Tommy??oh yess he was awesome and we always will remember JDF's awesome legacy for the times he got us through :D
