I know my LJN Hulk Hogan figure is worth mad cash, if it was in box and didn't look like a survivor of Hiroshima. I had my fun with it, it's worthless as is, but it's kind of fun to think of what I'd waste the money on it's worth had I never played with it.

Just because somebody listed that WWE figure for $22k doesn't mean it's actually worth $22k. Just because they’re listed for $22,000, doesn’t mean it’s worth that. Anyone can post whatever price they want. It’s only worth what people will pay. Always check SOLD listings to get an idea of what they’re actually worth.

Heath Ledger Joker 16 inch figure in box that was discontinued on annoucement of his death and only sold to pre-orders is my prized collection, but I also have some Star Wars Empire 16 inch figures like Yoda and Luke together in box and a Palpatine, plus I also have an original remote controlled Darth Vader. Prototype X-Wing mint in box, my collection is nice.

Here is the problem, when making a list like this you have to set some rules. You can’t combine mass produced figures with prototypes. They 2 very different things. If it wasn’t sold in stores it should not be on this list. Could have grouped all 3 double telescoping sabers as 1 entry. Also the list should be just loose complete figures because there are some packaging variations that take a common figure to new heights. So the list needs to stay consistent. Also I see a lot of people saying they had a double telescoping Vader or Obi-Wan, I’m sure you did not. You had a regular single telescoping one.

Watching this video, I could rip my remaining hair out. I have all three: Darth Vader, Luke and Obi Wan. All with the double-telescoping lightsaber. But I got them back in the early eightys and they are heavily played and not in box. If I knew this back then, I could be some thousand Euros richer by now.

However, the figures in mint condition still in their original packaging are so valuable now because the vast majority of people did in fact take the toy out of the packaging and play with them. Thus an unopened toy is much rarer today and thus more valuable. So If people like you knew that and kept the toy in the package it came in, it would not be as valuable as it is today.

I have one, but as its played with the packaging is long gone. It is however complete, mint condition with tight joints and no discollorations. Also had the double telescoping luke, also played with and the lightsaber broke within days. It was such a crappy design Im sure the only intact ones are SIMB anyway.

So, I have been a GI Joe collector for many many years. I went to a convention in Rhode Island, and met Don Levine, the creator of GI Joe and he had that figure on display. I was able to see that thing up close and personal. It is amazing! All hand-sewn Uniform, sculpted head, all handmade. No scar on the face, or upside-down thumbnail. If you are a collector you know what I'm talkin about. Dawn Levine has since passed away, and it has become even more valuable. So many GI Joes!

This list is entertaining, but in no way, shape, or form is this accurate. This list mixes foreign bootlegs, produced items, and prototypes. Based on that criteria, there are at least 100 items from Kenner Star Wars alone that would be worth $50k+.

November of last year the coveted J-Slot Rocket firing prototype Boba Fett sold for $220,000 (including 18% buyer’s premium) at Hake’s.

It was the 1979 Toy Fair mock up by Kenner. Whoever wrote this article should be fired. Also missed the Jawa w/plastic cape carded that sells for $12,500+ (SOLD/COMPLETED), the 1982 GI Joe Cobra Commander Peach back carded sold for $37,000+ just this year. 24M subs and you guys cant do better research. Sad.

My holy grail is a double telescoping lightsaber on the Kenner 1977 Darth Vader. I had it as a child & destroyed then threw away the dt lightsaber. It is worth thousands today.
