Jason doesn’t have mommy issues, he’s a mommy’s boy with a mother that adores him so much she killed those responsible of the camp where she thought Jason drowned.
@ashleighstratmann77835 ай бұрын
And don’t get started on the whole Mrs Vorhees could have waited to find out if her son was alive. The plothole on why she never did that got to do with the fact that when the first Friday the 13th movie was released there was no plan for a sequel. That dream sequence where Jason pulled Alice into the lake in the first movie was meant to be just that: a dream sequence. But a sequel was demanded after how much a hit the first movie was and since Mrs. Vorhees was decapitated a new villain was needed so someone decide to change things up about Jason’s drowning and reveal he didn’t actually drown and saw his mother’s death leading him to become a vengeful killer just like his mommy.
@ashleighstratmann77835 ай бұрын
I doubt Mrs. Vorhees actually raised her voice like Freddy did posing as her in Freddy vs. Jason. Being a mommy’s boy Jason probably hold a small fear of her being disappointed in him whether she ever was or not and Freddy played into that to yell at Jason for getting out of control

Y'know, it never made ANY sense to me in the Aliens movies, that Weyland-Yutani was so narrow-mindedly focused on not only procuring the Xenomorphs, but trying to control them too. They'd already proven that they can't be contained, they're sadistic killers and they're incredibly wasteful creatures. Barring the acid blood, everything they can do can be replicated by a human, who can be far easier to contain and control. There is literally NO reason to pursue the Xenomorphs as a capture target after the fiascos of Alien 1 and 2.
@DngnRdr5 ай бұрын

@lucifinaammatakari93284 ай бұрын
Weyland-Yutani is a corporation centered around capitalism and the human hubris of greed and over confidence if you understood where they were coming from it would call into question the sanity of your mind, all they wanted was a new way to make big bucks and the existence of the Xenomorph is the perfect candidate for weapons as is told in the movies, they dont care about human life hence why the android Brooke had an order containing that the crew was expendable upon finding the alien

A Quiet Place was 100% incorrect though as Cochlear Implants don't produce any sound at all (there is no output beyond electrical signals through the internal diodes), so feedback is impossible. You can now get hybrid ones for people who managed to keep some hearing in the implanted ear (usually the cochlear is ruined with the insertion of the diode array), but it's quite rare even now to see those.

i think i heard in the unsubscribe podcast that the mud thing with infrared scopes actually works, meaning that if you cover yourself with anything remotely colder, either a blanket or mud, can actually defeat infrared scopes.
@e.turduckeny6304 ай бұрын
They tested it on a Myth Busters episode where they were trying to beat security features (basically break into a building). Almost nothing could get past the infrared heat detector. They tried mud, fire extinguisher, lots of things. Problem was there was always some small area of the body where the heat showed up and was detectable. You couldn't get 100% coverage and any cold material didn't hold the cold for long enough. I think the only thing that worked was a special full body suit and only for a few seconds (and I think it was hard to breathe in?). And this was using tech from a decade ago. Worth checking out the episode if you have time, great show in general.

Dawn of the Dead (original) is very smart because they make sure not to let the zombies see them go back to their hideout. They build a fake wall and use ducts and tunnels to travel instead. And they block the vulnerable entrances with trucks so the zombies can't get the mass and leverage to break in. Even when the raiders come, they fight them using the same system, which would've been successful if not for one of their own getting turned and remembering the way to the hideout.
