The DC3. IF neither the plane nor the airport could contact one another, how would anyone know they even tried? I mean, the airport didn't disappear, so we can talk to people who were there, and say that they never could contact the plane, but there is no one to talk to from the plane that could say whether or not they even tried to contact the airport

You know what is the bigger mystery here? Those money scam ads that uses doctored footage of kids getting accepted in their universities posed as an 'excitement' of getting dubious amount of money from an even more suspicious sources. The mystery here is HOW these ads were allowed to air in KZbin when the whole ad (that I wasted no time pressing 'skip') STINKS highly of scam instead of spam.

When I was in kindergarten, one of my best friends lost his father over the Bermuda triangle. He was a Canadian air force member on joint operations with the US, and their transport plane disappeared over the triangle. My friend's mother had to wait almost 7 years for him to be be officially declared dead, rather than MIA. This would have been in the '79 or so. As a kid, that made the triangle seem a whole lot scarier.

The rate of disappearances or "mysterious" disappearances is no higher in the Bermuda Triangle than in any other area of the ocean, per traffic level. The area is one of the most heavily trafficked stretches of sea and air in the world. It includes a number of popular island destinations; a heavily populated part of Florida; and is traversed when traveling between the Atlantic, the Carribean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico. The area is also prone to hurricanes and tropical storms. With the heavy traffic the regions sees some accidents are going to happen. Although the incidents within the Triangle may seem like a large number, they're really a very small percentage of all traffic through the Triangle. Those who believe that the Triangle is special are falling into what's called Confirmation Bias. By ignoring the heavy traffic and all the safe passage that happens in the area they can only see the number of incidents. This lets them "confirm" what they already believed, that they do happen. It ignores the fact that incidents are still rare, and are no more likely than anywhere else in the world.

I've been through the Bermuda Triangle six times while in the USS Navy on the USS John F Kennedy CV-67. The Sargasso Sea was beautiful and the water so clear. We even had a fun in the sun day in the Sargasso Sea and there was no wind blowing. For three hours I had duty, but enjoyed the day afterwards. If you study all the ship, airplane losses in all the Earth's oceans and seas you will find out that the Bermuda Triangle is no different than the other seas. UFO's and USO's have been seen in all the oceans and some large lakes nothing new there. The ocean can be a beautiful lady or she can be a terrible lady of doom!

Correction at around the 7 minute 30 second mark. The Cyclops was not the worst Maritime disaster in US history not involving combat. Look into the Sultana and the General Slocum. Both paddle wheel steamers, each lost more than three times this amount of people. The Sultana on the Mississippi River and the General Slocum in New York harbor (I think).

Larry Kusche, a reference librarian, collected all the information he could on each "Bermuda Triangle" incident. He contacted the Coast Guard, the Air Force, Lloyd's of London, and many other agencies. He obtained microfilm copies of newspapers from cities where various incidents had been reported. This exhaustive research had an unexpected result - it solved the mystery. So he wrote "The Bermuda Triangle Mystery-Solved." Kusche's book is more than an investigation of a mystery; it is a fascinating case history of a "manufactured mystery" (a.k.a. Fake News) in the making. It shows how over the years, the raw materials of official accident reports, newspaper accounts, articles in the mainstream press, and word of mouth have been assimilated into a "false mystery." Get the book and learn the truth.
