Satire always runs the risk of just being the thing it’s trying to imitate if it is done poorly. I can’t really find a place in that sketch where the joke isn’t just “haha this is awesome for him,” so if the sketch is meant to criticize those tropes it falls quite short of the goal. It’s really just a bad sketch, which is fine, SNL has plenty of them.

Toxxik don’t quote amendments when you don’t understand what they mean. People love doing that and it’s really annoying. SNL does cross the line, but it is usually very rarely and when they do it was in a crap episode anyways. Though since it’s always brought up, the difference with male and female sexual harassment is females are already seen as less dominant so it is basically bullying, but even worse. With male students it is generally felt they can get out of the situation and males supposedly like sex more, so that is why they joke about it, even though sexual harassment of either gender is just as wrong. The joke is about social standing, of course it would be frowned upon.

Good example was Larry King interviewing Jeselnik. He was speaking about how you cant joke about some stuff and brings 911 as a subject of what you CANT joke about. Anthony disagreed with Larry and told him Louis' C.K. joke about it (joke was about the way you figure how bad person is by how soon that person masturbated after 911 and for him it was between 2 building going down) which actually made Larry King laugh out loud and I guess changed his point of view a bit at least.

I thought the same thing when I saw her comment. I do like Jenny Slate, and was sorry when she left the show. I remembered seeing her F-bomb live that night, and became an instant fan. But the original explanation offered way back, that she & the show just didn't click was more likely. She was on the show for the entire season, and just wasn't brought back for the following one. So she couldn't really have been fired for the F-bomb. Otherwise they'd have pulled the trigger very quickly, rather than wait until the following spring. Charles Rocket was actually on one additional show after his F-bomb before he was let go, but then that was late in the season.

"Offended by portrayal of Jesus as violent rather than forgiving..." Yeah, how could they have done something like that to a guy who promised people that don't believe him will burn for eternity in hell?

Nah thats just what the “christians” say

@@thatssomehoopla Anyway, Christians should understand that their God, even if exists, is anything but merciful/forgiving.

Thank you for that because I’m Christian and its just people out there who say those things make Christianity look bad to other people

The child molesting robot is one of the funniest SNL skits made. Dwayne does the roll perfectly. People are too sensitive. How do you get upset about a made up scene about a thing that doesnt even exist lol

I'm Irish and tbh I'm so used to Americans making dreadful "Irish accents" and stereotypes, showing they've never stepped foot here. So it's probably not that controversial since happens so much on US TV.

I love how Dan Crenshaw turned into a little snowflake when he’s a self declared anti-snowflake.

It seems like people have forgotten that comedy is SUPPOSED to be slightly uncomfortable and make you actually think about the issues it brings up. Sometimes the only way to bring up uncomfortable issues is with humor, whether the humor "hits the mark" or not.
