Any of the list of the great black comedies has to include Kind Hearts & Coronets from 1949. A guy is line to become a duke, but he has to kill 8 people who are in the line of succession before him, and all 8 are played by Alec Guinness, including Lady Agatha. A hilarious comedy with a body count and a very dark, dark heart.

Arsenic and Old Lace is just pure perfection, start to finish. Those lovely sweet old ladies, sinister gangsters, and poor Mortimer - who, being the successful middle aged man, should be the sensible guy on top of everything - going crazier by the minute.
