Mentions of how Ray Kroc, Maurice and Richard McDonald, Ronald McDonald and Friends, the business relationship with Disney especially with realizing how The Founder brought the upbringing of how Fast Food Chain became the global phenomenon that it’s became definitely made sense for why Watchmojo made sense for why this video had to be released.

What I miss most about old McDonald's is that it was for kids. I don't go there for myself, it's all for my child. Now we don't have any child friendly atmosphere, they don't allow birthday parties anymore, there's no longer any playground equipment, no mascots, no cookies....it's sad.

Fun fact: Bermuda (where I’m from) has a law against franchises, BUT there was a US naval base in the 90s where there was a McDonald’s. On Wednesday they used to let people into the base and as kids we used to go and get a Happy Meal - I even had a birthday there as a young child as it was such an unusual treat. Later, Bermuda took the land back after the US no longer needed the base, and unfortunately due to the law, the McDonalds had to go :(. Bermudians generally hit up McDonalds whenever they fly to a foreign country to feed their childhood addiction!

$3.50?! In Australia minimum wage for McDonald’s is $15-24 an hour and higher depending on your age.
@logantrimble0062 жыл бұрын
Another reason why I'm glad I've never worked at a McDonald's in my life. My first crappy job was for a catering business as a dishwasher, and even then, I got paid minimum wage. 3.50 an hour? If everyone's getting paid that much, then why isn't there a worker's strike going on right now?
@eviltwin47602 жыл бұрын
It was about 8 years ago I worked there. Started at 8.50ended at 9.25 2 years later. That job sucks everyone hates it for many reasons. Now I think the minimum wage is 15 there which would’ve made it worth it. As an 18 year old then that was my first job so I wasn’t mad at the pay. The workload is crazy and the customers don’t respect you half the time. I didn’t realize how severely underpaid we were until I got another job. Jobs less taxing on the body and paying more money. Now I’m a chef and I’ll always be humbled from getting yelled at by customers in the window who wanted no pickles and somehow think it was my fault lol. Working at that pace definitely helped me working in culinary now. But I wouldn’t recommend that job to anyone unless you had no where else that will hire you. The saddest part was there were older people without any trade or skill that could garner them higher wages somewhere else. People with children living off of those low wages. That really inspired me to not end up in that position. I don’t regret working there because it made me tougher and made me understand the harsh reality of the world (getting ridiculed by strangers everyday and also seeing how miserable my coworkers were). I just wish I worked there maybe 1 year instead of 2 lol. Also saying I worked at McDonalds didn’t really help with getting girls at the college I attended.

I was maybe 7 or 8 when McDonald's made its big debut. I am 60 + now. I still remember the food from back then...And it was real food, and good. The crap that they "serve" now is not even real food...Or if it is, it is the lowest quality that they can pass off as edible. Haven't eaten there in 15 years, maybe more. I take that back...Had some breakfast sandwiches when desperate. Those were not so good, either.
@logantrimble0062 жыл бұрын
I'm not surprised that this is the case these days. Even Ray Kroc wanted to cut corners wherever he could. That's why he took up using insta-mix as a cheaper way of creating milkshakes. All he cared about was saving money and making a profit, which is why this business has gone downwards these days. Even I'm sure after seeing the movie that I get better burgers from both Five Guys and my own griddle these days.
