The reason the Luffy vs Katakuri fight deserves to be number one, is because out of all Luffy's fights the fight with Katakuri is the most personal and intimate luffy ever had. Let me explain, every Major fight Luffy had before that point was to save a country, a nakama, a brother or something big that was on the line. In the fight with Katakuri when Luffy left the mirror world with Brulee and left Katakuri stuck inside, there was no longer any reason for Luffy to continue the fight as he already achieved his goal to save sanji, take the red poneglyph and avoid fighting big mom or her crew. Nothing was on the line at that point, katakuri was no longer a threat with no way to escape from the mirror world, sanji was safe with the crew and brook had the red poneglyph, all luffy needed to do was to wait for the time of the rendez-vous to come to meet his friends. But No, luffy chose to come back in the mirror wold risk the whole escape plan in order to supass katakuri and defeat him, it was the first time luffy wanted to defeat someone for himself personaly period with no other reason at all. That's why this fight is so special and unique, both luffy and katakuri were no longer fighting for anything else but to surpass the other, and to me it deserves to be number one.

I feel like all the signs are pointing to Teech being the final enemy. He was the catalyst behind the events that killed Luffy's brother, he killed the strongest pirate in the world and stole his powers(albeit he surely would've lost if Whitebeard were at full power), and he's gotten Shanks to acknowledge him as a major threat. Even the fact that he goes by the name Blackbeard hints at it somewheat. Not to mention that after Wano there won't be many other obstacles standing in Luffy's way

It's just gotta be Luffy vs Lucci. That fight is iconic for the series. The first fighter to push luffy to the brink through sheer physical strength. You felt it when Luffy took those rokuogan, and the coreography was incredible throughout. A Haki Lucci with 2 more years of growth could be a crazy good fight, hope we get a round 2 someday.

It may have already been stated or not, but Luffy may have been beaten and almost killed by Crocodile but he didn't loose the fight right after being impaled he realized, by using his blood, he could hold onto Croc without him getting free using liquids, so in my opinion all three fights should count as one entry.
