I think everyone knows by now that the results show is filmed on the Saturday and isn't live. It's only really the celebs on the show that sometimes try to pretend that they are live, like Alex Scott this year! It would go on rather late in the evening if they showed both the dancing and the results show live on a Saturday and it wouldn't be fair to have the results show live on a Sunday. It's the only day the Pros and Celebs, that are in the competition, get a day off and get to go see their family and it would be cruel to take that away from them and could put off people from signing up for the show - not getting a day off/break that is!

You can tell that the women Brendan is with are embarrassed by his lack of composure, I've never seen Strictly (aside from a few KZbin videos, LOVE Danny and Oti's samba) but ugh, I feel empathy for those poor girls for having to stand on-stage with him while he mouths off. An entire book could be written about what went on during the Chambers/Stevens/Snowden semi final. The judges knew Chambers had the most public support and clearly tried to fix the score to prevent him reaching the final. But the public were having none of it, and the BBC bosses quickly realized the massive law suit they could face - so hastily changed their own rules. The voting system was changed for the following season.

I would add Week 10 of 2019, where the bizarre voting system left Saffron Barker and Karim Zeroual in a dance-off that should never have been (the tie at the top between Kelvin Fletcher and Karim meaning only one point less for Chris Ramsey, Emma Barton and Alex Scott rather than the standard two less, and the combination of that with the Samba curse leaving a tearful Saffron and AJ unable to avoid the dance-off and thus our votes for them were counted for nothing), and angry eagle-eyed viewers who noticed this inconsistency immediately demanded an overhaul of the voting system. The popular solution to this is a tiebreaking vote from head judge Shirley to once more rank them traditionally from 15 to 1, because enough is enough with this long history of dodgy fixed-and-flawed voting on Strictly.
