for anyone outside the US trying to ask Siri for your step count or heart rate etc. Here's the fix.........................I'm in the UK. If you change your language to English US, and then change Siri voice to American 2, it works a treat. You don't have to change your region.

I'm glad they have brought back the ability to swipe left and right on the watch face to change them, as we now have a choice. Perhaps in the minority here, but I actually prefer the method that was introduced with iOS 17. I have lost count of how many times I inadvertently changed the watch face with iOS 16, and too be honest it was only a long press and then swipe (which takes all of a second longer than the older method) and I have left mine on this setting as I would sooner have to do a long press and then swipe, in order for to stop me inadvertently changing the watch face. It's great that we now have a choice as this will keep everyone happy, whatever your preference is.

Yeah anytime they remove a large feature like this they just always need to make it a setting. I still wish this one was in the control center rather than buried in this clock setting.

Heads up Siri’s access to HomeKit only works with those in the US using English and possible those in China using Mandarin in 10.2. Even if you have an Ultra 2 or Series 9.

Yeah I’ve been on the beta before this release and it’s been pretty good. Had a friend that had a quick drain but after a reboot it seems to be good now.

Yeah. Still need to get used to the widgets. Bothers me that not all app have supported them yet. That would help with it becoming a replacement for favorites dock. Apple really should have required any update to make apps work in there.

I’m confused on why people are so upset about it. Every company does it. And it not that many missing features, Double Tap (which I found a way better way that work on all devices, video soon), Offline Siri (I’m never offline) and HealthKit Siri (cool but not life changing).

Not see anyone complain. Have you tried rebooting the watch maybe phone as well just in case. Settings App -> General -> Shutdown -> Power Icon (top right) -> slide to power off.

Thanks for the review. For me it's really simple...if WatchOS 10 doesn't reintroduce the DOCK I won't upgrade from WatchOS 9. Anything else, I'm just not interested.

Apple Watches don’t have a blood pressure sensor yet. They have a blood oxygen, heart rate and ECG.

Yeah make sure you follow the steps to enable it I walk you through in the video. If you don’t have the setting then you’ll still need to update your watch. That’s in the Settings app then General -> Software Update.

@@TheAppleBias why does someone want to switch there watchface the whole time? It makes absolutely no sense. Also accidentally switching would be the greatest nightmare imaginable for me. Just link the faces to the focus modes and wether you at work the gym or wherever, I got the one I most prefer in that situation. I think they kept that to series 7 and up because of the screen increased with them. I don’t see them ever added it to the older ones at this point.

If that’s the case you probably want to reboot both devices make sure both are updated to their latest OS versions give it a day (also checking battery health on watch wouldn’t hurt). None of those work I’d unpair the watch from the phone re-pair it as new and then let watch and phone sit in charger close to each other overnight to make sure all data get synced over.

I hate that if you use workouts and maps at the same time, it always prioritizes workouts and not maps. I'm biking and the most important info is my route but if I look at my watch, it displays my current workout while Maps is running in the background. I need to ask Siri to open maps while I'm biking. It's so dumb.

And you installed the latest update? You may need to make sure Siri has access to HealthKit. On iPhone go into Settings App then Privacy and security -> Health -> Siri and make sure it’s on. You could also try asking siri on the iPhone for step count and it may then prompt you to enable it.

Yeah I can't get Siri to tell me either. I'm on 17.2 and Watch OS 10.2 and have the Ultra 2. I definitely have switched on in Settings app (iPhone)/Privacy & Security/Health and in the section Apps & Services/Siri Access Health Data is switched on. I've tried asking how many steps have I walked on my iPhone and it just says "I can't help you with that, but you can try in the health app". If I ask Siri on my Apple Watch, it just loads up the Fitness app.

And Apple refused to fix or even acknowledge the brightness issues with the 9 and U2 watches. Many have filed feedback including myself and it goes unfixed. With almost 800 "Me too" on this thread, see how Apple buries it's head in the sand. I've been an Apple guy since 1985. Sad. It's an $800 watch and this is an accessibility issue for many, including me.

I did hear about that issue today. I truly doubt apple is deleting any post about it. KZbin wouldn’t do that for Apple they are fine with people talking negative about apple. That all being said. This issue def should be addressed and hopefully Apple does so in 10.3. Has it always been there or did it pop up after an update?

I’ve lost at least a dozen posts as have others. This is pure Apple. What Apple did do was add a couple nits to nighttime brightness but it’s insufficient for most. They don’t even acknowledge it in my official feedbacks. Sad.

I have an Ultra 2 running v 10.2. I asked Siri for my current step count and also to update my blood pressure. It said that it couldn’t help me with that and I’d have to go to the health app on my iPhone. The watch face swipe works,confirming that’s 10.2 uploaded ok. Am I missing something?

Apparently it only work is you have the language set to English. Is that the case for you. Some say it has to be in the US with English others say it works as long as you use the US version of English.

So what’s it do. And you’re on watchOS 10? For me it just opens the activity rings app. Now if I had it open in the background and was already on the steps area it will be there. But it doesn’t navigate down to steps like it used to in previous watchOS versions.
