For some reason the cat seeks me out and demands pets but not my sister. I love my sister's cat now. They're affectionate, maybe not as affectionate but they have their own way of showing you.

If simon ever got a cat, he'd understand that the hate is really just plain ignorant. It's one of those internet phenomenons where people take these funny running jokes and begin to think its reality when it isn't. Its so obvious that people like simon just had a couple bad experiences with housecats that were likely feral adoptees and thinks thats indicative of cats in general. I had a feral adoptee as a kid named sam and we called him sammy satan because he was mean as a snake but thats because he wasn't actually a housecat! He was raised on the mean streets and had to hunt and scavange for food lol I've met FAR more chihuahuas and other dogs that are downright unpleasant/mean than I have cats that "hate" people. I grew up with cats and dogs, all my friends had cats and they were almost all great affectionate pets with the exception of one other cat named Arnold and even he wasnt mean to humans. He just didn't care to seek out affection but he'd still let you pet him. Cats also offer nowhere near the amount of inconvience a dog creates for its owners. And to be clear, I love dogs too but I'm just being objective here.

as a cat owner dogs are definitely the better pet when it comes to what they give u and what u can do with them but i don’t have the time for a dog, i don’t think it’s fair to leave a dog at home doing nothing for 8-10 hours a day whereas a cat u can let outside to do whatever they want or something.
