@@mmm365 More to the point, it was Wes parodying an ASMR video. He had a mundane task to perform - fixing the flat on the Boss’s car. So he chose to have a little fun. But still I missed his wonderfully understated wit, which makes his videos so much fun to watch. I never find those videos relaxing. I find them almost to be a form of self-parody. I hope this particular “art form” doesn’t catch on. It’s amusing when done once, but it can easily get tiresome.

I just saw this video and it brings back some old memories. I grew up in Buffalo, NY and in the late 60's and early 70's, while I was in college, I worked in a service station there. I remember cars coming in with the white salt crust on them, and the 'icebergs' behind the wheels, that melted on us when they were on the lift for repair. The owner of the station would not plug a tire, every tire that could be repaired was an inside patch. He's theory was 'plugs suck', so that's what we did. Cars were less complicated then, and he taught us to be pretty decent technicians for the day. I will always appreciate what he taught us and the ethics that he instilled in us for honest and accurate repairs. Because of the complexity of cars today, I cannot do what the current breed of technicians can do, I don't have the equipment and training that these folks have. That said, I really enjoy watching these folks sort out issues that show up at the door of their shops and watching these well trained techs has made me a little smarter when I'm dealing with a repair issue on my personal vehicle. Keep up the good work.

When I lived in the Detroit Michigan area, during winter the roads were almost always white, even if they were asphalt, and no I'm not talking about snow, road salt seemed to be the answer to anything that had to do with roads. But in their defense, that area of the state is where the salt mines are, so it doesn't have to go far to get to the top of the roads. I'm sure there is a little refining of the salt, but still.

My God Matt. I really had No Idea what ASMR was. I had to look it up. Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. This must be a very new Term. Absolutely incredible listening to the sounds you made changing a tire. Here are the ones I identified in no particular order from memory. Starting the car and turning it off. Opening and closing garage door. Rolling Jack under car and pumping. Using impact to remove and tighten lug nuts. Rolling tire to tire machine and removing tire. Using wire wheel cup grinder to clean sealing flange. The rattle of the ball in a paint can. The sound of air inflating a tire and even more dreadful is the sound of air leaking. The clicking sound of the torque wrench. I now can totally perceive part of a blind man’s world. Jesus Matt, I tune into see Your usual show and find out that You must have been a student of Charles Darwin’s hypothesis that speech and music originated from a common emotional signal system based on the imitation and modification of environmental sounds. My God You have revealed how deep You are. Myself I’m a big student of Group Dynamics. Now look at what You have done. Every time I hear one these sounds again I will be thinking of You and not just another sound that is processed by My Subconscious instead of just watching people interact, I will now have to connect the sounds. (Please, nobody fart while I’m observing.). You probably hooked more viewers by being so Profound.

ok, so i watch and watch. i know wes has something up his sleeve. i keep watching and I'm chuckling to myself on the inside. i watch some more and the tire goes back on the suv. i know we are approaching the climax. the big scene comes and I watch as wes re-ties his boot and then his pants cuff falls all crooked. I'm on the edge of my seat as he straightens the cuff.. ...and there it is, it's over. so much drama that I can feel a bead of sweat run down my brow. i feel exhausted, yet somehow satisfied more than I have been in years. sometimes I exaggerate, so sue me... loved it wes!
