I just want to thank you for showing me how this works. I had one in the garage and after two days of trying snaking, plunging, baking soda-vinegar treatments in every opening I could find, I tried looking on KZbin for a new idea. And there you were. Thank you!!

Praise Jesus. It worked 💪. I bought a drain bladder from a local hardware store. Returned home to insert the bladder into sewer pipe. It worked. The most difficult part was ensuring the bladder is routed toward the sewer instead of back into the house

Thank you. This was one of videos I looked at. Worked like a charm. Some company came in and tried to convince me to spend 4700K to fix the problem that they thought it might be. I went to home depot and bought a better hose, a bladder and a high pressure nozzle. Problem solved for under 50 bucks.

Saw this video yesterday. Today sewer drain is clear. Literally less than 10 minutes and the blockage was gone. Water rushed thru the pipe as soon as I turned the water off and the bladder was deflated. Got the bladder from Harbor Freight for $8. Thank you for this video. Saved me time and money.

Works so good! 5 minutes and my line was clear! Great video brother, saved me a lot of time and money. I made sure my hose connection was bomb proof (wouldn't rip off when I pulled the deflated bladder out) and used a high quality hose (the only kind I buy). Don't listen to the nay sayers, use common sense and make sure your connection to the bladder is secure. This is a damn good solution.

I had to use this same product today to unclog my sewer line. If fought it for a couple of hours thinking the heavy duty garden hose was good enough. I keep getting to the point In the line were the hose wasn't strong enough to keep going so I had to borrow a farm grade red hose like the one in this video. I was able to get it way further, and I let it run 20 minutes, relieved the pressure and it cleared it. I am definitely going to invest in a farm grade hose, and a back up bladder.

When it didn’t work the first time, I used the same trick I use on my clogged toilets of pouring dishwasher soap in large amounts along with the bladder. It worked. I used the bladder for only seconds on both tries. Has been clear and unclogged for days. No need to wait 5 to 15 minutes. After it’s clear, it’s clear.
@charlesberry26622 жыл бұрын
Where did you pour the soap in? If the system was completely clogged Im wondering how the soap made it from the toilet to the part of the drain pipe beyond the bladder?? One could use an attachment to the hose like you would do with a house washer and that would flush the soap into the blocked pipe through the bladder. You would need to have another segment of hose that would incorporate the container designed for this purpose.

One time I had a cast iron pipe, had to pull out the toilet tried the drain bladder but it didn't work at the beginning but I ran an auger and then I used the drain bladder until it worked got the line clear. This bladder drain it is made for minor blockages if it is a manor clogged one can get it clear in a matter of minutes, otherwise one needs to run a sewer drain cleaning machine which can be rent from Home Depot and still save oneself some money at least half of what a plumbing company would it charge you

Wow, 1st of ALL THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO, man I I had worst time with my toilet, bath tub and sinks, if I flushed my toilet it came up in my bath tub. I rent a house in knox,tenn. I rent from a slum lord, but thats ok, I like to fix things, so any ways, I got a 25' snake, didn't work, I got(purchased) a 50' snake, that didn't fix the problem, so I purchased a brand new toilet, all the purchases was with my own money,( thats why you were God sent to me) the toilet was not new but still didn't flush, I didn't have $500 for a plumber, but something had to give, I, my mother(75yr old) and my niece live in the house I rent, I was going to sell my 26 yr old Ford ranger that gets me to work to hire a plumber we been living with this for over a year now, we used bottles and a 5 gallon bucket for our duties. @charlesberry26622 жыл бұрын
That is a reasonable concern, but the pressure generated by the bladder cannot exceed the water pressure within any closed pipes within your home. If you have a weak connection outside of your home AND a blockage beyond that weak spot, you must have it fixed. The ideal solution for any recurrent drainage problem is to consult a plumber, the professional who can solve the problem permanently.

When I did this procedure, the bladder came off and was stuck in the pipe. I tried again with a second bladder but it too came off the hose. It did unclog the pipe and both bladders are gone down the drain. Has this happened to you ? Could it have been 2 defective bladders or did I do something wrong?
@fuckthisc1ty6 жыл бұрын
Cynthia Roberts you didn'ttigjten the bladder and you were twisting it so it came off next time tie a rope but I would avoid using this as it can get stuck and potentially make it a pipe repair instead in other words get a plumber to do it they don't even use this cus of the same reason

Can you use those bladders on underground drainage like from the roof to the gutter Underground?
@charlesberry26622 жыл бұрын
I tried it on blocked gutter but it didn't work because the gutter was half filled up with dense roots. It doesn't work under those conditions which are likely to be much more common in those kind of drainage systems unless the problem is a soft blockage with leaves. I don't think it would hurt to try it though. I had to remove and replace gutter down spout because the roots were so dense. Also as many landscape drainage systems usecorregated plastic rather than PVC they are more likely to rupture with the bladder. You might try hand crank augur if blockage is near opening
@charlesberry2662 Жыл бұрын
It depends on how much pressure is needed. I tried it without success on my downspout.Roots had grown into it. However it did work on the underground drain from my water fountain.

To Mark Berry: To Rob Truth: It's good to try the inexpensive things first, like this bladder and a hose -- outside of the house. Question: Would this be not such a good idea if the clean-out pipes were located inside the house? This would mess up the basement or crawl space.
@charlesberry26622 жыл бұрын
I would just use on outside cleanup pipe valve located closest to the house. The hose will feed on a curved arc away from your house assuring you that all flushed contents will go to main drainage system away from your home. Inside pipes could potentially expel the contents in any direction.
@jamespolucha8790 Жыл бұрын
Man what happens when that gets stuck in the pipe?

Can this be used if the house has only one outlet drain?

Can it be used in clogged gutters?
@charlesberry26622 жыл бұрын
Not likely.. When a downspout is clogged in my experience its usually packed with roots requiring manual extraction by any means at hand. I have actually had to cut off the impacted segment and replace it. As the downspout is thin, the water pressure could damage pipe.
@user-rc8eq9jq4f3 жыл бұрын

@charlesberry26622 жыл бұрын
good point; next time it blocks up, which it inevitably will, Ill add that addendum.
@carultch2 жыл бұрын
I equipped mine with a T-fitting and a pressure gauge, so that I could see the pressure drop when the blockage was removed.
@charlesberry26622 жыл бұрын
Wow that's smart. That would give you instant feed back. Also I would be interested if the pressure you recorded before the blockage was removed was the same as, less than or more than the pressure recorded at the outdoor spigot. Recently a viewer expressed concern that the pressure generated by the bladder might rupture the blocked pipe. As the bladder is a passive system that does not use additional force generated by an electrical or hydraulic pump attachment, my best guess based on the conservation of energy principle would be that the pressure distal to the bladder attachment could not exceed pressure from spigot.
@carultch2 жыл бұрын
@@charlesberry2662 Yep, that's exactly the idea. The pressure was around 22 psig, when I did my control trial in a 1 ft long empty pipe. Just enough to support the bladder like it is in a real drain pipe, but with its outflow leading to open air. With the blockage, the pressure in the feedback gauge was around 30 to 35 psig. Once the blockage was removed, it reduced to 25 psig. The static pressure in my water system is 40 psig, when all fixture valves are closed. Since there is a change in diameter of the stream as it moves thru this bladder, the pressure you measure with the gauge upstream, will not be the same as the pressure after the bladder. The Bernoulli equation will trade pressure for velocity, plus there is frictional loss. So this bladder will not expose your drain plumbing to pressures beyond their 30 psig rated limit.
@carultch2 жыл бұрын
@@charlesberry2662 Another thing that helped, was equipping the fittings with a valve, before the T-fitting and pressure gauge, so I could instantly turn it on and off. This also enabled me to pulsate the flow, which helped clear the blockage. Somehow, the pressure increasing and decreasing in cycles, helped clear it much better than a steady pressure of the maximum my system could deliver.
@readynow123454 жыл бұрын

This isn't always a solution for a main sewer problem. And there are other things to consider before using a blow-bag (which is the correct term) in your main, sometimes you can't use a blow-bag. You can get yourself in deep shit (pun intended) if you don't know what your doing. You know you have a "belly" in your line and you know where it is. You have to know your sewer lay out, where your drains tie into your sewer. Just call a plumber, keep your day job, and let me do my job.

A belly is a segment of pipe that sags below the flat plane of the pipe allowing debris to be trapped in the sagged area which then act as a nidus to allow other flushed material to attach to it, eventually clogging the line.
