Ill probably do a how to on the kiln. My kiln isn't very good, doesnt have a timer. If you get a kiln get a decent one with a timer so you can control the fire. But i did buy my Kiln for $20

Hi, Ricardo! I have a question about time length of process. As I understand you do firings in your own kiln, maybe you have an approximate program of firing for this thickness of clay?

My kiln is really old, so it doesn't have a temp setting. Just low, medium and high. What i do is fire it on low with the lid completely open for about 6 hours. Then turn on medium and halfway close the lid. Then after 1 day of this i close it and put some blocks on the lid and turn it up on high. The next step is to close it and set it on high for 6 hours. I wish i had a better way. But the idea is to fire it really slowly. Kilns are expensive, and usually they have better controllers for this. I don't :)
