25 years ago we put about 10 (10 cent) gold fish in out small metal tank to control mosquitos. For many years now we have two that are permanent and about 4 inches long. They only eat algae for food since we do not feed them. We live South of Portland OR where winters are fairly mild and they survive under the ice when we do have a cold spell.

How do you keep the racoons from eating the goldfish. They cleaned me out multiple times.

We have a pond near the cattle tank with the gold fish and maybe the racoons drink water from it since we have many of the critters.

This must be Eastern Oklahoma.

Hey ET, all of our research ranches are located in South Central Oklahoma!

@@NobleResearchInstitute Cool - People I have known have said the Eastern Oklahoma is quite green with lotsa trees etc and even hilly I believe. I'm from Canada and don't know that much about the US as a whole. Nice to know South Central is also quite green👍

8:20. Is that firehouse freeze proof? Might be a issue with a rough winter.

Hey Scott, great question. It is not 100% freeze proof but we don’t have too many days here in Southern Oklahoma that it is problematic.
