The chase drone camera work is always great. I think you flew this plane better with no stabilization/SAFE than you would with it. Best landing ever. I'm a little surprised how good the Super EZ looked with floats too, because its really not very impressive without them.

Great flight! I am going to have to get the floats fitted on mine and do some flying off water. Thank you for adding comments about the wing system and the gyro stabiliser too. Any time the rudder contacts the ground/water inverted it’s like instant brakes combined with reduced elevator as the ground now limits corrective pitch action. If you don’t plan ahead it can get ugly. The main thing is plan to add a touch of power and make instant corrections as needed. My QQ300 videos show some inverted with poor planning.

If you do try running the stabilizer in the water definitely bring the kayak. Not sure but in case there's drag from doing that and the plane heads up (as it would be) and takes a dive. Haven't noticed till now, that's a nice size lake. You could spend all day just paddling around.. I know I would enjoy that. Would make for a very enjoyable and relaxing day! Been thinking about getting some floats myself, would some for the Mini Appreciate also work on the Areoscout you think?

Watch how they take off with full size float planes. They use aileron to get one float out of the water then get the other one out and they are off the water.

Just bought the Super EZ RTF. However, the prop is going in the wrong direction. Binded it with the included transmitter. All controls work properly, except the prop is going clockwise when viewed from the front. Any ideas how to fix. Thanx. Tim

I have some problems with my Super EZ V4. The CG is about 70mm from leading edge, I cant get it to be 55-60mm, like manual said... Battery is 1300mah.

@@TheRcSaylors I found this informaation... "CG RANGE Initially I had the CG RANGE as a negative only. I still feel the published CG of 60mm is not the best flying range for the EZ. But after flying the plane more, I've added this CG RANGE item to the plus column. The SuprEZ has a wide CG range. I feel safe in saying you can fly almost any batt up to a 3S 2200mAh safely in this plane with the CG anywhere from 62mm to 81mm aft of the wing's LE. That is basically anywhere on the battery tray. But it definitely flies better in a CG range of 70-80mm aft of the wing's LE. With smaller lighter batts located in the aft CG ranges, it flies level at 50% throttle. With batts set for a CG range of 62-65mm, it requires more throttle for level flight and/or UP elevator. if you are using heavier batts, loops are easier to achieve and rounder at the top with an aft CG. With an aft CG you aren't applying constant aft stick or needing to trim in UP ELE on landings. With a CG of 65mm, I found I needed with UP ELE in order to fly straight and level at 50% throttle. I do not think you can achieve the recommended CG of 60mm without adding weight to the plane. Good job FMS! It is very forgiving as a trainer with regards to handling if set up properly, and has wide latitude as to battery placement and a flyable CG."

These are foam and can’t take on water like balsa or fiberglass floats.

@@kmatch1 have to disagree with that...friend of mine has been flying quite a bit lately on the water and I was over there a couple weeks ago and watch water pour out of his foam floats

@@papapsadventures6119 True. I just checked my limited float supply and some are solid as I remembered (no water) and others are hollow as you mention. I would suggest if you/they can find a leak, a smear of epoxy would do fine. If not able to find a leak, I’d make drain holes that sit above the water line but allow them to drain when set at a proper angle after flying. A leak at any servo or similar access points can be handled with hot glue, tape, silicone, etc for a hatch that needs to be removeable.

@@kmatch1 I recently bought the Turbo Timber Evolution w/floats and I put 3 layers of polycrylic all over then painted the bottom with outdoor glossy acrylic paint then 2 more layers of poly...I'm hoping when I get brave enough to try water ops that'll be enough to keep the water out, lol
