I called Roto-Rooter and ask for a quote on this yesterday. Tech came out and had no idea what this was. Called his supervisor about it and said that they wouldn’t do it and that the water pressure back up systems are a joke anyway. Then tried to sell me a $3,100 battery back up system. Why have these videos and ads if you can’t do the service?

It’s all great till your water supply goes out, then what? Best to have a battery back up pump.

We also install lots of battery-powered backup pumps, but we've found that many homeowners do not keep up with battery replacement like they should. Life gets in the way and people often forget to replace batteries on time, so the most reliable backup pump is the water-powered pump since public water pressure very rarely fails. unless your on a well and the power goes out your are correct, if not let it fly. Been a plumber for 30+ years been put them in for years. You could use compressed air to make this work. Your just creating a vacuum
