is it only liquid tape with this performance, or does regular plastidip also provide this protection

Plasti Dip and liquid Tape perform similarly. The exception is that the Plasti Dip is thinner and more liquid than the Liquid Tape and the isolation voltage is higher with the Liquid Tape. - DEU: Plasti Dip und liquid Tape performen ähnlich. Ausnahme ist, das Plasti Dip ist dünn flüssiger als das Liquid Tape und die Isolationsspannung ist beim Liquid Tape höher.

As I understand there is no adhesion, there is only shrinkage and it stays on surface by only forces of friction. If there is an object with wires going out of covered pcb, water easy goes between plastidip and surface of not fully covered wire.
@Plastidip-eu4 жыл бұрын
No, that's not going to happen. I shrinks so tight like a second skin. We're using this to cover full cars for a couple of years.

@@Plastidip-eu thank you for the reply. So you mean that if for example you cover the whole raspberry pi with inserted cabels you can drop it all with the inserted cable about for 1 meter deep and the water wouldn't go to the rpi finding it's way between the edge of the coating and the outer surface of the cable?

@@Plastidip-eu I'm asking this because I'm tired of repairing my quadcopter pcb by replacing smd components which burns every time I drop my quad into a lake or a river. Plasti dip is my last hope to prevent this painful and expensive repairs, because I've already tried silicone conformal coatings with polyurethane glue over big legs of smd components and all the ports, and it didn't help at all(((

@@О.Ш-ь1щ Exactly. Cause 3/4 of the Plasti Dip is thinner that evaporates, the plastic itself bounds so strong to the surface.
@О.Ш-ь1щ4 жыл бұрын
@@Plastidip-eu wow, that's a lot thinner... I used to work with epoxy coatings that evaporate 1-2%. I'm working in Gubkin University in the laboratory of coatings with prof. Viktor Protasov, well known in Oil and Gas industry of pipeline coatings) I've just today bought a small can of Plasti dip from your Russian dealer with expiration date of 2015 year and it still good)))

What about the thermal parameters? Max/Min temp?
@Plastidip-eu4 жыл бұрын
proofed from -30°F up to 200°F, which is -34,4 °C to 93,3 °C

Where you running anything during the 24 hours. see how about the heat - since it cant go anywhere
@Plastidip-eu5 жыл бұрын
This test was in pure water. But even in normal conditions the temperature is not much higher than without the protection
@Plastidip-eu4 жыл бұрын
The thin plastic surface has no big impact on the heat dissapation.

I love your video man!!! GREAT JOB... I started to make some arduino videos, could you come check it out and tell me what you think... thanks
