A nice addition to this tutorial would be that you can check the flow of water and sewage through the overlay in underground mode, and there is another overlay that shows you if building are serviced by a substation/tank.

Realistic mode is so risky to have everything working. I've even falstarted 100 or so immigrants because I haven't built a water pump in between a water sub and water treatment plant and before I got it fixed only 3 peeps remained.

In realistic mode, I think it is best to start out by trucking water and sewage from the border, then get all infrastructure built and working before stopping the trucks. That way you have a fall back in place.

I believe you did not mention that there's a way to get the right downward gradient for the waste water pipe by scrolling the mouse wheel in order to get a curved pipe if a straight pipe does not work.

Is it possible to find water at 97% without cleaaning? It does bother me to spend money on chems so early in the game..

I havent found any. I have found 95. I just try and pick tje best quality to minimise the chemicals used.

Make sure they are connected to a building that is already built.
