Please add a comment and let me know other ways you may store water that I did not include.

Temporary storage of store bought water is expensive and not really all that compatible for using them long term. For disaster needs just prior is fine but you have to see it coming. The larger containers are better for long term storage. Ideally you can hook your storage to the water supply to continually refresh it. If the need arises using a one way valve keeps your bulk storage intact. Recommend including more on how to make water potable.

Thank you for your comments. I do plan a video on how to make water potable. Just got to find time.

@@proficientprepper I hear that. Been retired for a bit myself and seem to have less time than when working. I think it’s more a matter of perspective and “working for myself” than reality would have you expect. I’m having a lot more fun, accomplishing a lot more for myself and healthier to boot! Keep up the videos. There are already tons and tons of them floating around, other media as well. However, it never, ever, hurts to have a perspective that others find useful. It keeps you off the streets I’m sure. Like you, I’m going to head back to my rat killin’ as my Grandmother used to say. Looking forward to more as you are able.

Water is a first priority. Glad you did this video. I have found storing those small bottles of water are not feasible for more than about 6 months. I keep two 275 IBC tanks outside. If I am lucky, rain water harvest keeps them full. I use them to irrigate the garden. But if they are not full and I feel a situation brewing I fill them with city tap water. Yes, I filter and treat but at least it's in my backyard and I don't have to transport it. I also suggest 2 55-gal drums - put plywood overtop and use it as a workbench but that's another 100 gal in the garage. Then, I like to recycle pop and juice bottles with tap water and stick them wherever. I can usually get another 100 gallons with that. 750 gallons on the property is pretty descent. The key is being able to dispense it where needed. That stuff is heavy and you don't want to be carrying it up/down stairs where someone can get injured amidst the emergency. Thanks for sharing.
