Yes. What you would normally see here is some guy explaining all of this with continouous focus on his face, large hand gestures and no single visual representation. If we would be lucky, maybe we would see some video of a river or something. For 5 seconds. We need a youtube version with high educational standards.

Excellent video. One question: on the area of influence model, aren't you building the end result into it (in the shape of the hole in the foam)? Wouldn't you rather no foam at all - just the wooden edges, to show how drawing water affects the water table?

It's a representative model rather than a scale physical model, so the hole and curves are roughly based on how water flows. A large number of observation wells in an actual flow model would show a similar shape.
