Water Tower Way is already cute as a button! So instead of bulldozing this family home and starting over, I thought a renovation was in order. I basically just wanted to add my style to it and update it a bit :) Hope you like the reno!

Take all the time you need to heal, we understand ❤️ For build ideas: I would love to see some dorms!!! I feel like we always see apartment builds on KZbin, but dorms not nearly as much. I know you redid a couple of those Discover University buildings, so it can either be creating dorms to fit your build or ones that fit the original build, either way! I think “opposites” roommates could be very cool, like a grungy one (using stuff from the werewolf pack) who lives with a preppy girl (using stuff from the high school pack)!

Sending you good vibes for a speedy recovery. As for tiny home build ideas, how about a tiny shotgun style home? I've been working in Willow Creek lately and been looking at a lot of Louisiana architecture for inspiration. Thought that might be a fun thing to try. Or a tiny Creole Townhouse or American Townhouse could be cool.

Oh, and to make things more interesting, do mash ups with your tiny builds. I've always been a huge fan of mash up cosplays (like Ariel Boba Fett) and I recently took a Queen Anne home off the gallery, gutted the interior and made it art deco/maximalist. It's my favorite house that I have renovated.

I’m so sorry to hear about your troubles with your hand. Makes me so sad that healthcare is so inadequate for you guys in the US. Please take as much time as you need and thanks so much for even making videos. Love this house as with all your builds!! An idea I had for an apartment would be a shared space for a few best friends who have just graduated- could be a little bit messy where they have parties and people over! Just cosy fun vibes! And maybe a cat or something?

Healthcare is so frustrating here! It costs more than any first world nation on the planet by far, it makes me want to cry 😭 I hope we can eventually change. Welcome back, dear! I'm immensely happy that you practised some patience and that you're feeling better already! Please still take care of yourself and don't overdo it. 🤗 All things considered, it was probably a good idea to start with a smaller lot and home that you didn't need to build completely from scratch. I also agree that MsGryphi did a really good job here, but it's always fun to see your take! 😃 I'm repeating myself, but I'm still amazed by your ability to mix styles so naturally, especially in this game, since many objects from different packs don't really seem to go together, but you always choose a few pieces I hardly ever use and combine them with other objects I wouldn't have thought could go together and voilà: a somehow cohesive interior! This time, admittedly, you adhered to a more contemporary style with Midcentury Modern and Art Deco elements and a few more "traditional" pieces strewn throughout, like the rug in the living room, which works really well! Somehow my favourite room is the parents' bedroom with that combination of paintings, the rug, the bed and bedside tables and the lamps. Taken by themselves, I would probably find all of these objects rather boring and nondescript, but together, they create such a nice, somehow warm and happy room that I would love to sleep there. I think it might be the dark blue with the warm yellow and dark wood of bed and closet contrasted with the light wood flooring and the white walls that brighten up the room and balance the heavier colours. I've long harboured the suspicion that complex, well-balanced colour schemes are your trade secret to make even "thrown-together" interiors work. 🤔 Now that summer break has ended and I'm going back to work, having had to move to a new city all alone (for the time being), I'm really glad to have my favourite simmers with me to keep me some company and help me relax after work. As always, I also love your little stories; your voice-overs are just so nice and casual! So welcome back, and take care! 😁

Thank you Alisa! It was hard to be patient, but I did it! Lol. I'm happy to be back at it though. And my hand has felt pretty good the past few days. I'll still take it easy to make sure it's healed, but it's getting so much better. I'm glad you like the reno! I love your theory about color, color is so important! That's one of the things that makes building base game builds so hard. They've added tons of colors and color combinations over the years. I do miss the "create a style" in The Sims 3 though 😭 Did you ever build in that game? I *loved* it. I hope your job and your new home is everything you've hoped for, good luck with it!
