Water Walks: Taey Iohe in Walthamstow Wetlands | Tate 0308am 3.12.24 does she not see herself as a coloniser of the region she now finds herself in?

However is quite willing to 'migrate' only to then complain about colonisation, her new found culture and disintegrating environment, as a signal of her virtue to historical events that have no direct affiliation. Western civilisation has reached a cultural crisis point I believe.

@@rwaterssydney Comments on ‘Water Walks: Taey Iohe in Walthamstow Wetlands | Tate’ 0326am 4.12.24 that wasn't the tack i was trying to take. but your point, if a point it is, as opposed to a dictate, is valid. it was in reference to migration per se - that any migrant is a coloniser, of sorts. the old colonial heritage is not exclusively the preserve of white anglo saxon men. the "disintegrating environment" comes with the person or peoples. as does the weather - and it's variable. the fall of the west seems to be your next drop off point. beware the proverbial censorious eggs with too much psychic or psychological baggage to drop your way, though... which is the basis of all art - it's merely a case of how you tart it up or colour it. hmmmmmmmm....

Water Walks: Taey Iohe in Walthamstow Wetlands | Tate 0305am 3.12.24 dont pitch a tent in the bogland... no, i wasn't and am not into these at one with nature and self skits. i disagree with her notions regards "colonisers"... and the sewers and water courses have always been a contentious issue in London. pitched battles have been fought over who provides or disposes of the toxins.

Colonisers? Why is a Korean migrant living in London talking about colonisers? Have you seen the proposed 4.5 hectare Chinese Super Embassy in the so called islamic precinct of London? If you want to talk about colonisation in its current context, have a look at the migration statistics in western countries at the moment.

You do realize that China and Korea are not the same country, yes? You do also realize that paying for land, in an era of a globalized economy, is not the same as western colonisation, the slave trade, etc. Furthermore, just like a British artist can criticize British colonialism, a person's government doesn't necessarily represent them. Migration does not equal colonisation.
