Thank for the info Steve. I too find the stock Rail Adapter bushings too soft for my riding preference. Will have to check out some of these firmer options.

At 72kg and 36" deck I replaced rail adapter bushings with 94 barrels (no cones) and that made whole lot of difference to my riding. I got far better forward momentum compared to stock. So experiment

I would like to see how a board works with two front waterborne adapters. I imagine the rear pivot would need to be stiffer, but I would like to see surfskates that pump better off if the rear foot. My guess is that it would be either awful or miraculous

On second thought, I think the pivot geometry would have to be inverted, but it might work with a tall set of risers

You can also get any RipTide barrel and cone you want in their KranK and/or WFB formula as long as you select the 0.6” size option.

Got the waterborne Tauras for Christmas, tkp version, and it has wheel bite. Im only 165 lbs but maybe its my riding style. Going to try the 90a and see how that goes

Hey man love the videos. I got a question on carvers. Im gonna get my first surfskate and I think its gonna be the greenroom cx. If in the future I buy c7 trucks, can I put those on the same deck that came with the cx or are the decks different? Also, the greenrooms wheelbase is about 2 inches too big for me according to that formula. I know too small of a wheelbase is a problem but is too big also a problem? Thanks

You can definitely switch out decks between any trucks. Too wide of a wheelbase isn't necessarily a "problem," it just comes down to personal preference. Wider wheelbases are harder to pump but give you more forward momentum. They're also less nimble.

Hello I am new to surfskating. Literally just bought the adapter today to try it out. However I have a question. Do the bushings HAVE to be from riptide? Could I use Bones Hardcore bushings instead? Or Doh Dohs hard? I am a pretty big dude and have been riding Bones on my skateboard so I was wondering if I could do the same for the rear adaptor. For the front I ended up purchasing the 100a square one from waterborne.

You can use any bushings you want as long as they're the right size.

@@SurfskateLove That is what I was wondering. They like regular top conical bottom cilindrical bushings so I was thinking Doh Dohs should fit. But I dont have the adapter yet, just ordered so I was curious.

Hey Steve how are you? Hope you doing súper grate 👍 I’m about to start doing surf skate I just got a question I’m 5’11” I’m like 160 pounds what kind of board do you recommend me to use at first? I know how to skate but I’d like to introduce my self into a surf dale ting and surf world so I have a 38” ZFLEX BOARD and I feel very confidence with it going down hills but I understand this is different when it comes to movements the hips and stuff like that. Thanks and advance for your help. Keep keep it up on videos, love them 🙏🙏🙏
