I need about $14,000 to get started, but in the end I think it’s worth it. It’s a great stress reliever this hobby.

You can get started much cheaper! But if you can go all out ... all at once! it will likely save you money in the long term vs starting cheaper and upgrading over time like most of us do :)
@sovereignviper907 ай бұрын
Bro if this us your first tank go the cheaper route. Say the tank doesn't look like you imagined and so on. Spend 2-4k for a solid tank and equipment. As you progress through the hobby, you'll upgrade equipment and lighting

Nice yellow tang , mine just die last week after 9 years 😢 and now they are so hard to get .

@@davidcastonguay2069 sorry to hear that at least you had it for 9 years that's a long time to have a fish , Yes yellow tangs are extremely hard to get manly because they are so expensive for no reason , I would go for a purple tang as they are a little bit cheaper

We always want longer or wider after everything is going well. Right now I wish I would have gone taller actually. Great update 👌🔥💯✌️

On the Kalk and AFR combo, it's awesome. Once the AFR is dialed in it keeps Alk rock steady through the daytime hours. The photosynthesis handles the pH. Then the Kalk for night or lights off is that extra sweet pH boost we all love. Your corals are looking thick and beautiful!

Thank you! I'm slowly experimenting with adding more and more AFT into the mix. it really is a cool solution.

There is so much going on with this tank the more research I do the more I come back to a tank like this with the sump and the power heads at the end of the peninsula makes for such a great display and that sump setup is very nice do you have any problems with flow because of the power heads on one end sir?

Are you dosing the kalk and all for reef on a 24hr schedule? I've been reading some folks are dosing kalk at night and all for reef during the day didn't know what your thoughts were on that.

have you had to replace your return pumps for a new one? I have the ecotech L2 for 3 years now, not sure when to replace them. Better to at least keep a backup on hand?

It’s like a weird coral crack. Anecdotally it seems to help coral encrust and baste out faster. I have it on a doser at half the recommended dose
