Love them. I've watched several abstract artists using this method. They paint across the whole paper (ignoring the taped areas) and take lines, etc passed the tape and paper edges, giving some nice surprises when the tape is removed. It can help with creativity and provide 'studies' for future artwork. I'm going to give it a go and will try to make some collage/ journal pages too. You've really inspired me to use mixed media. Thank you.

Wonderful artwork! My favorite colors of fall. Have you tried using a printer business card stock page to make a collage on, then just punch out the cards and you have eight little collages to work on. But don't do what I did and collage and glue pieces to the background, or you may not be able to punch the cards out. 🤪

Great video as always. You and I have such different methods of applying paint, marks, etc., but I ADORE your results. You get to the finish line and I'm so impressed with the pieces -- EVERY SINGLE TIME! It makes me laugh, cuz I actually go through moments of personal discomfort with how loose you are at some points in the process. Do you ever do that when you're watching another artist work? Thank you! All over the place. It’s incredibly fun to scavenge art supplies from nature and thrift shops. 😉 I love to use old books, and I go leaf hunting in the summer and fall. I keep them all in a press.

Hi Lynn. It a tint stain by Tattered Angels. I get mine at hobby lobby in the acrylic paint aisle. You can get it online too. I like the French Roast and the Black Velvet. ☺️
